The primary focus of the product marketing content strategist is to lead event content strategy and coordination for our SuccessFactors topic area at company sponsored global annual conferences (Sapphire and SuccessConnect). With an average of 5000 attendees, a global audience and attendees ranging from C level execs to hands on users, our conferences deliver on average 200 unique sessions, presented through an average of 7-9 tracks during an average of 3 days.
In this role you will be responsible for creating a content strategy and execution plan based on company objectives and customer needs. Manage all aspects of events pre-planning, planning, internal communications with stakeholders and post event content re-cap.
This includes, working collaboratively with Product Marketing, Field Marketing and Marketing comms teams to lead update meetings, manage coordination with track leads, enforcement of deadlines established to support external comms and timely resolution of matters to minimize escalations.
The secondary focus of the product marketing content strategist is to work collaboratively with team to lead the Product Marketing Cross Portfolio Digital Content distribution strategy.
In this role you will manage the curation of content for news channels and editorial calendars to proactively deliver stories with the right timing and audiences. Experiment with various distribution channels and new technology platforms.
This includes, managing relations with 3rd party writers, editorial support as needed to support formats, management of metrics/analytics to gauge impact and working across groups/differing levels of seniority to get things done.
Responsibilities and Tasks
Collaborate with cross teams to synthesize input for events content and to assure alignment across the organization.
Develop events content strategy which involves coming up with topic tracks for sessions and demo theatres for Sapphire and SuccessConnect
Create new ideas and approaches for sessions at events.
Represent team in all pre-planning, planning and post event meetings with cross teams.
Lead event content strategy meetings with cross teams and work closely with track leads to produce excellent sessions.
Provide ongoing updates, presentations, and recommendations to marketing teams and executives, as appropriate.
Create and manage a comms plan for Cross Portfolio team that is in synch with other key orgs within SAP that we jointly share a GTM activities.
Work collaboratively with PM Sr. Leader members to identify digital content white space.
Work collaboratively with cross teams to curate/ edit/ develop digital assets to support comms plan, including brochures, PPTs, videos, etc. Identify asset gaps, and champion creation of new assets as required.
Provide ongoing updates, presentations, and recommendations to broader solution marketing team and executives, as appropriate.
Create new ideas and approaches for digitally marketing and selling our cloud-based Talent Acquisition solutions/HCM Suite and Cross Portfolio suite.
All other duties as assigned.
Skills and Experience:
Domain knowledge of or experience in Software-as-a-Service (SaaS), Cloud
Experienced in HR solutions and market
4+ Years of Product or Solution Marketing experience in enterprise software
2+ Years of Events Content Marketing experience (preferred)
Working knowledge of Public Relations, Analyst Relations
Outstanding written and oral communication skills
Proactive, flexible, and collaborative work style
Leadership skills and experience with a cross-functional team to get things done
Strong organizational, analytical and project management skills
Flexibility, and openness to change
