LMI is seeking a skilled SAP Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Defense Forces Public Sector (DFPS) & Plant Maintenance Consultant in Huntsville, AL.
The SAP Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), Defense Forces Public Sector (DFPS) & Plant Maintenance Developer will work on a large project team supporting the GCSS Army Program office located at Fort Gregg-Adams, VA. The SAP SME will support the Program Director, GCSS Army Program, and directly support the Enterprise Aviation APM, GCSS Army. This position will be responsible for defining, driving and developing requirements and enhancements processes and the longer-term program strategic plans. Works across various teams and trading partners ensuring a high level of quality and integrity in the SAP system. Able to work across various functional areas of SAP, possess a deep understanding of the existing Army functionality and business processes for both ground and Army Aviation. Must demonstrate an ability to think strategically across both SAP and non-SAP landscapes and support the interfaces through which data is received and sent in the SAP environment. Work location is Redstone Arsenal, AL, with occasional travel to Fort Gregg-Adams, VA or NoVA.
Responsibilities
Proven experience translating complex customer requirements, strategies and constraints into high-performing, scalable SAP solutions in a large, complex organization
Deep, authoritative knowledge, skills and abilities with the SAP Plant Maintenance module and integration points with related processes
Three or more full-lifecycle SAP implementation projects from Blueprint to Sustainment in the Plant Maintenance team member and Plant Maintenance team lead roles
Experience designing and automating maintenance, repair and overhaul solutions for complex equipment with hundreds of serially tracked parts represented by a hierarchy of Integrated Product and Process Engineering (iPPE) technical objects
Experience working with engineering change management and designing processes and automated solutions for material and part changes
Experience leading a team of SAP functional consultants and subject matter experts to develop project artifacts and deliverables including design, configuration, specification, test and sustainment materials
Responsible for historical records, master data records, refurbishment processes and monitoring of aviation and ground equipment with status board functionality
Understand document artifacts required at each Release Technical Review Gate (e.g. Functional and Technical Specifications)
The ability to create resource-loaded project schedules as a component of a complex integrated master schedule
Assists in resolving end user support problems, system defects (`break/fix'), and analyzes proposed improvements or changes to the Army ERP solution and system
Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills, including the ability to translate complex technical and functional constructs into elegant models to support leadership decision making processes
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent
10-15 years or more of relevant experience
A verifiable history of involvement in SAP go-lives
Knowledge of or experience in multiple SAP modules (Plant Maintenance (PM) and Defense Forces Public Sector (DFPS), Master Data (MD), Materials Management (MM), Sales and Distribution (SD) and Funds Management (FM) is a plus
Knowledge of Army ERP systems and GCSS-Army and GCSS-Army Aviation
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-based environment, or individually as needed
Security Clearance: For this position, LMI will only consider applicants with current security clearance
May be required to travel
