Position Description

Are you a forward-thinking SAP Operations Administrator? At Applied Medical, you will play a pivotal role in transforming medical device manufacturing. As a valued member of our Corporate IT team, you will work onsite, overseeing various tasks related to Systems, Applications, and Products in Data Processing (SAP). Your responsibilities will include Basis installation, performance optimization, upgrades, transport management, client implementation, and resolving system issues. This is an opportunity to leave a lasting mark on the healthcare landscape.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for tasks under Systems, Applications, and Products in Data Processing (SAP) Basis installation, performance tuning, upgrades, transports, client implementation, and troubleshooting system problems.

  • Promote changes between systems using Change Management for SAP Advanced Business Application Programming (ABAP) and Java Stack systems.

  • Day-to-day system administration tasks, including supporting and monitoring of applications such as SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), SAP Customer Relationship. Management (CRM), SAP Gateway, SAP Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC), SAP Global Trade Services (GTS), SAP Enterprise Portal, SAP Solution Manager, and OpenText Vendor Invoice Management systems.

  • Administer SAP print management.

  • Responsible for tasks under Systems, Applications, and Products in Data Processing (SAP) Basis installation, performance tuning, upgrades, transports, client implementation, and troubleshooting system problems.

  • Research, investigate, and implement upgrade tasks for various client applications used for different SAP applications.

  • Grant security roles to team members for different SAP systems and applications.

  • Monitor and troubleshoot SAP Web Dispatcher for load balancing Hypertext Transfer Protocol (HTTP) Secure (HTTPS) traffic.

  • Administer SAP print management.

  • Promote changes between systems using Change Management for SAP Advanced Business Application Programming (ABAP) and Java Stack systems.

  • Day-to-day system administration tasks, including supporting and monitoring of applications such as SAP Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), SAP Customer Relationship Management (CRM), SAP Gateway, SAP Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC), SAP Global Trade Services (GTS), SAP Enterprise Portal, SAP Solution Manager, and OpenText Vendor Invoice Management systems.

  • Work closely with the SAP teams and key business Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) for implementing new features and functionality.

  • Support various SAP systems with performance analysis and tuning, kernel upgrades, support pack, and enhancement pack installations.

  • Administration of SAP High-Performance Analytic Appliance (HANA) databases.

  • Monitor and maintain database health and security.

  • Monitor database storage and backups.

Position Requirements

  • Basic Knowledge of modern data center software such as operating systems including Microsoft Windows and Linux/UNiX, Active Directory, Dynamic Host Configuration Protocol (DHCP), Domain Name System (DNS), and databases including High-Performance Analytic Appliance (HANA), Microsoft Structured Query Language (SQL) Server.

  • Basic Knowledge of Systems, Applications, and Products in Data Processing (SAP) HANA database administration including monitoring, and troubleshooting of SAP HANA systems.

  • Basic HANA system administration using SAP HANA Cockpit and HANA Studio.

  • Experience in granting users and roles in SAP Applications and HANA database systems.

  • Experience as a technical member of sub-projects of enterprise-level initiatives.

  • Knowledge of Internet technologies including Hypertext Markup Language (HTML), Extensible Markup Language (XML), and Java.

  • Experience with SAP components like SAP Enterprise Central Component (ECC), Customer Relations Management (CRM), Gateway (GW), Enterprise Portal (EP), Solution Manager, Business Objects (BOBJ), Governance, Risk and Compliance (GRC), Global Trade Services (GTS), Text Retrieval and Extraction (TREX), Web dispatcher, SAP Router, Java system, etc.

  • Knowledge of underlying SAP infrastructure such as operating systems, physical/virtual/cloud-based servers, and networking services.

  • Relational Database Management System (RDBMS) knowledge including HANA, SQL Server, MaxDB.

  • Knowledge of Linux, Unix, Windows Server, and related utilities.

  • Ability to troubleshoot.

  • Up to five years' experience in Systems, Applications, and Products in Data Processing (SAP) BASIS Administration.

  • Up to five years' experience with SAP environments: Enterprise Central Component (ECC), Customer Relations Management (CRM), and Enterprise Portals (EP).

  • Up to five years' experience in troubleshooting system performance problems and problems during system installations.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

  • Eagerness to improve technical capabilities.

  • Willingness to go above and beyond to complete tasks and projects.

  • Work independently with little guidance, as well as the ability to multitask.

  • Good interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.

  • Establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with other team members.

  • Ability to work outside normal business hours without prior notice in response to high-priority issues.
