Job Description MES (SAP ME- SAP MII)consultants

Competency

Should have a minimum of 6-7 Years of relevant work experience with SAP MII projects.

Experience from at least 2 MII roll-out projects is mandatory, whereof at least 2 are with integration to SAP.

Strong Programming capabilities (JAVA & J2EE), javascript, html, and experience with integration of shop floor and MES systems.

Strong understanding and experience of SAP ECC interfaces using SAP MII

Strong programming skill using MII business logic action blocks.

Strong expertise in SAP UI5 programming

Strong expertise in SAP MII functionalities like OEE, PIC, KPI dashboards

Position description

It is a Techno Functional Consultant role. Meaning the Position does call for customizing and programming in SAP MII

Major areas of responsibility
SAP MII consultant : implementing a Solution for multiple customers

Validation of Common Business Methodology / Template Vs. local Factory/line.

Should be able to drive the customer blueprint/design session and deliver the solution.

Should be able to develop the solution using appropriate custom objects like Hook Extension, Service Extension and etc., MII dashboards, MII business logics, UI5

Change Management skills ensuring successful implementation and user adaption of the MES template e.g. ability to train, coach, instruct on how to use the new system etc.

Drive shop floor IT business improvement with involvement of Factories and IT Department.

Contribute to further development of a MES competency, building industry specific library.

Knowledge & experience on the following MES functionalities would be an added advantage
i. MES processes supporting Production and Warehousing activities (and how these are interlinked)
ii. MES functionalities to integrate with Process and Production equipment and automated storage shelves etc.
iii. MES functionalities to plan and manage Production order execution
iv. MES functionalities to confirm Production orders including consuming materials, time, waste, quality etc.
v. MES reporting capabilities

Required Knowledge, Skills And Abilities

Education Bachelor OR Master degree in Engineering. MBA is an added advantage.

Experience as stated above in section 1, 2 and 3.

Strong Technical Knowledge on SAP MII custom Development.

Database experience (Writing Tag, SQL Queries, Stored Procedures) Oracle/MS SQL

Fundamentals of operating SAP ERP. (RFC/BAPI, ALE/IDoc Settings)

Understanding of OPC products and integration of plant floor systems like historian, PLC based systems to SAP MII using SAP PCO

Change management skills (good in communication, training, coaching)

Self-driven, proactive take responsibility to ensure progress and results

Open and seek collaboration with team-members

Take responsibility for own area and interact as integrated team-member

Accept guidelines from Project Mgmt and proactively inform Project Mgmt on issues, risks etc. for full transparency on progress, situation etc.

Experienced in working with predefined template, project tools & methods

Language Fluent English

Experience with MES projects / solution with integration to SAP modules PP & MM

Understand the Production setup (including planning and execution) and processes in the Production, and similar for Warehousing

Experience with lean / Six sigma will be an advantage

Ability to cope with many different levels in the Organization

Ability to cope with high pressure at times and get things done with quality

VIEW JOBS 12/21/2018 12:00:00 AM 2019-03-21T00:00 The Dow Chemical Company has an exciting and challenging opportunity for a Supply Chain Innovation Facilitator/Consultant located in Midland, Michigan in the new Digital Fulfillment Center. The Digital Fulfillment Center will be a critical component in enabling Dow's Digital Strategy and in accelerating the Demand Planning to Fulfillment Program to drive customer and employee experience through the use of multiple facilitation techniques including but not limited to Design Thinking, appreciative inquiry, hack-a-thons, rapid prototyping and agile development methodology. This center will have an entrepreneurial mindset powered by cross-industry experience, employee diversity, and multiple disciplines – business process optimization, user experience design, agile methodologies, analytics, mobile applications, and emerging IT innovation. It will be opening in Q4 of 2018 and we are looking for great and enthusiastic talent to help grow the center and make giant steps into Dow's digital era. The center will be located in the corporate headquarters campus and will include a blend of resources across the DP2F domains (Plan, Make, Order, Deliver, Invoice), I/S, and Diamond Systems Solutions and will collaborate closely with other key functions. The Digital Fulfillment Center will initially house personnel with expertise in planning & fulfillment, SC process automation, customer experience, design & modify supply chain, site logistics, analytics & reporting, enterprise architecture, emerging technologies, and other areas. This multidisciplinary team will facilitate rapid prototyping of new capabilities to enhance the competitive position of Dow's DP2F processes. In alignment with the Digital Marketplace Center in Chicago and the Digital Operations Center in Deer Park, Texas these facilities will provide digital capability across the value chain. The Digital Fulfillment Center in Midland has an opening for a well-trained Innovation Facilitator that can lead teams to define innovative solutions to business problems through the art and science of facilitation. Our projects are focused on the Demand Planning to Fulfillment processes so some experience in the chemical industry and/or Integrated Supply Chain functions is highly desirable. The individual we're looking for understands what it takes to prepare, facilitate and iterate across multiple types of activities and outcomes. These sessions could include things like week-long hack-a-thons, a four hour showcase of technology, and everything in between. The ability to match up desired outcomes with stakeholders and align that into a coherent workshop that successfully results in the desired objectives of the session. They stoke the energy level in the room with a short exercise that gets the team members' brains and bodies moving. They guide the participants through the exercises, moving things along when idea creation slows down and picking out moments to slow down when they see certain team members processing an idea. The ability to recognize the change management journey of a group with the skills to influence intent and insight in a workshop setting and also know when to call the session to a close and to move onto the next phase in the innovation process is required. Primary Responsibilities: * Clearly articulate the value and business benefits of utilizing Design Thinking, appreciative inquiry, hack-a-thons, rapid prototyping and agile development methodology * Coordinate planning, prep-work, logistics for ISC Innovation workshops * Hands-on work creating, organizing and leading/facilitating ISC Innovation workshops – with high energy, creativity, and business mindset * Work with digital teams (managers, stakeholders, product owners, designers, developers, etc.) to inform and influence solutions that will deliver the right business outcomes while delighting and benefitting users. * Lead project teams through applicable aspects of Design Thinking/Innovation Facilitation including but not limited to interviewing, requirements gathering, empathy mapping, brainstorming, storyboarding and feedback loops. * Execute Innovation Facilitation education and activation activities across the team (and in Dow) - mentoring other team members. * Partnering with digital development and design leaders, setting high-level experience goals to ensure a consistent and engaging experience. * Partner with digital leaders both internally and externally (i.e., universities, think tanks, customers, industry leaders, etc.) to drive best practices in Innovation Facilitation * Work with senior leaders internally to Facilitate Innovation sessions focused on strategy and new business model design Core Skills Requirements: * ~5-10 years in business consulting and/or design thinking * Experience with driving business engagement, business innovation, business outcomes through innovative problem solving approach * Excellent interpersonal and social communication skills, with diverse audience, in various situations * Able to deal with ambiguity, unexpected, surprising situations – Improvisation * Experience leading sessions with up to 100 participants across a range of Facilitation techniques * Agile and Design Thinking professional certifications preferred Education Requirements * A Bachelor degree is required with preferred emphasis in Management Consulting, Supply Chain, Information Systems, Computer Science, or Engineering * A minimum requirement for this U.S.-based position is the ability to work legally in the United States on a permanent basis (must be a U.S. citizen, U.S. Permanent Resident).
