As a SAP Master Data Specialist you will complete assignments on small projects or portions of larger projects, cost-effectively and in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards and safety requirements. As Master Data and PDV (Plant Data Validation), Operate Master Data lifecycle (Master Data creation, update and archive/deletion processes) by following the standards and quality requirements of the domain. Provide support for Master Data management processes.

This position reports to

Production Development Manager

Your responsibilities

  • Reports any contract / safety / quality / program / cost issues to Project Manager(s) for resolution

  • Supports technical risk assessments and implements resulting actions for projects

  • Follows work plans and cost estimates provided by the Project Manager and ensures quality deliverables on time and at targeted cost

  • Collaborates with the Supply Chain function and the Project Manager(s) to meet the project deliverables

  • Coordinates with Manufacturing and Testing functions to ensure the technical solutions are appropriately manufactured/ staged and tested

  • Drives the achievement of assigned targets (quality, time, scope, cost) and raises and addresses risks

  • Identifies areas of product quality improvements

  • Bill of Material and Parts Routings maintenance in SAP

  • Develops Fit, Form and Function tests for new parts validation

  • Proposes and participates in relevant product and process improvement programs

  • Assures new projects and products complaint with HSE Standards

  • Documents, reviews and updates all work procedures pertaining to all aspects of system maintenance

  • May act as Master Data Super User, providing support and training to other Master Data Specialists and Master Data professionals in own area of responsibility and suggesting improvements concerning Master Data creation, maintenance, and archiving/deletion processes

Your background

  • Bachelor's degree (Engineering background preferred) from an accredited university or college with 2 plus years experience

  • Continuous Improvement theoretical and practical experience

  • Business Conversational English

  • SAP Knowledge

  • Office Softwares

  • Excel, Powerpoint
  • Strong oral and written communication

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office

  • Lean Manufacturing knowledge

  • Electrical and Mechanical knowledge and background

  • Customer focus and sense of urgency

  • AutoCad or similar design software

  • ISO-9001 Experience preferred

  • Green Belt Certification

  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
