What you'll do:

Position title: SAP iXp Intern - Software Developer

Location: Palo Alto (in person)

Expected Start Date: June 10, 2024

Contract Duration: 10 weeks

Work Hours: 40 hours per week

Educational requirements

• Currently pursuing or completed bachelor's or master's degree in computer science or equivalent area

Position requirements

As a Software Intern with SAP Ariba Platform team, you can accelerate the innovation and delivery of the next generation of Ariba cloud experience. Our solutions touch all the participants of the largest Business Network running over 1.7 trillion of collaborative commerce. SAP Ariba Applications provide critical business processes involving thousands of buying organization, millions of sellers across the globe, and several millions of users.

• Work in core components for the SAP Ariba cloud that include persistence, metadata model, object model framework, common data server, customization framework, UI frameworks, Design and develop platform microservices

• Design and provide APIs for various platform functionalities

• Work on largescale multitenant OnDemand environment

• You will be member of the core Ariba cloud engineering team

Qualifications for the role

Required

• Strong programming skills, as well as the ability to read and code review complex code bases written by others

• Excellent coding skills in object-oriented languages like Java

• Good Database concepts and experience with at least 1 database technology (i.e., SQL or NoSQL)

• Ability to design and develop REST APIs for application teams to use

• Excellent verbal and written communication skill

Preferred

• Hands on experience with at least one scripting language (i.e., Java Script, Perl, python)
• Experience working in teams using scrum/agile methodology

Compensation Range Transparency: SAP believes the value of pay transparency contributes towards an honest and supportive culture and is a significant step toward demonstrating SAP's commitment to pay equity.

SAP provides the annualized compensation range inclusive of base salary and variable incentive target for the career level applicable to the posted role. The targeted combined range for this position is 26 - 53 USD. The actual amount to be offered to the successful candidate will be within that range, dependent upon the key aspects of each case which may include education, skills, experience, scope of the role, location, etc. as determined through the selection process.
