Responsibilities

  • Provide Functional and Technical support for the SAP HCM system maintenance and enhancements including integration to other systems.

  • Design, configure, develop, and implement functionality for required HR processes.

  • Work with business and IT teams to ensure business requirements are validated and system development goals are achieved.

  • Analyze and document business flow from end to end.

  • Provide SAP HCM support testing activities (regression and project related), along with following the established change management process.

  • Initiate design reviews for new applications and adhere to software development standards.

  • Participate in, lead and mentor others in requirements gathering and functional specification activities.

  • Design and develop efficient, well-structured and documented technical solutions with an emphasis on HR PA, OM, Benefits, BW modules and experience in Talent Management / Payroll.

  • Responsible for functional design and hands on configuration.

  • Responsible for technical design and ABAP HR development for RICEFW.

  • Design and deliver high quality solutions through system configuration and technical development that meet overall business requirements.

  • Conduct unit and integration testing and support user acceptance testing activities.

  • Perform regular system maintenance tasks, such as implementation of Support Stacks and Enhancement Packs and support of interfaces and batch processes.

  • Troubleshoot and manage complex interfaces to downstream systems.

Qualifications/Requirements

  • Requires a Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent in Computer Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or a related technical field and at least 5 years of experience in the job offered and at least 5 years of experience in configuring and troubleshooting SAP ERP HCM (Human Capital Management) functionalities.

  • Stated experience must include at least 5 years of experience in the following: configuring SAP HCM Modules PA, OM, Time, Payroll, and Benefits.

  • Stated experience must also include at least 5 years of experience with all technical aspects of HCM development, including the following: ABAP-HR programming techniques using LDB (PNP, PNPCE, and PCH); ALE; Dialog programming; Smart forms: Workflow; portal front end development for NGA provided euHReka tool using ABAP classes and methods; Develop Interface techniques with Sterling Integrator and SAP PI/XI;

  • Experience must also include QA/Ticket Management tools, including HP ALM, Service Now, and SAP Solution Manager.

This position will report to the Regional HR Director and provide support to HR Generalists, Regional Leadership and Store/Facility Leadership across the NJ, NY, CT region. The successful candidate will have demonstrated success working in a collaborative environment with a track record of accomplishments, along with experience in various aspects of Human Resource generalist duties with the ability to handle a heavy, diverse workload with very good problem solving skills while exhibiting a positive attitude. DUTIES: * Support Regional HR Director in all Human Resource objectives for the Northeast region * Advises leadership in resolving team member relations issues in a timely manner, providing conflict resolution adhering to company policies and state/federal laws along with proper documentation * Assist in guiding and conducting investigations with timely resolution and completion of proper documentation * Direct management of a team of HR Generalists * Provide guidance and mentorship to HR Generalist on escalated issues and Team Member investigations * Support regional recruitment initiatives and spearhead HR functions for new locations (recruitment, onboarding, training) * Oversee HR functions at all locations with knowledge of payroll, benefits, workers compensation, compliance, administration and recruitment, ensuring compliance, best practices and process improvement * Create, develop and present Human Resource related training * Conduct audits, analyze data and providing reports as needed * Oversee Team Member Tip lines and ensure timely response and resolution * Flexible for rotating on call weekend schedule * Ensure HR consistency & compliance across the region in conjunction with other Associate HR Director * Conduct Quarterly HR Store metric reviews with Store Leadership * Build and maintain positive relationships with all levels of personnel exhibiting approachability and integrity * Actively utilize and understand all HRMS related programs * Participate in department, regional and national meetings * Act as a liaison with Global HR partners, vendors, stores and facilities * Maintain current comprehensive knowledge of federal and state labor laws and regulations * Perform other duties and projects as assigned by Regional HR Director REQUIREMENTS: * Minimum 2 years of HR generalist experience in retail or grocery. Multi-unit experience preferred. * Applicable knowledge of federal and applicable state employment compliance laws * Good judgment, strong critical thinking and decision making skills * High integrity and strong initiative * High level aptitude at multi-tasking, prioritization with ability to meet deadlines * Must work independently, be self-motivated with a proactive approach to problem solving * Detail oriented with very good organizational skills and have superior follow through * Approachable and outgoing with a great sense of humor * Ability to invent and implement new programs * Willingness and ability to take on both administrative and leadership duties * Excellent communication skills including written, verbal and listening * Excellent computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) * Ability to embrace change with enthusiasm * Willing and able to work flexible hours as needed * Can travel frequently within the region and occasionally outside the region * Passion for the Whole Foods Market mission.
