NTT DATA Services currently seeks a SAP Functional Consultant - Supply Chain Management (SCM) to join our team in Sunnyvale, California (US-CA), United States (US).

Day to Day job Duties:

  • Develops process documentation for material flow processes and procedures

  • Publish communication related to the deployment of new functionality

  • Translate user requirements into user requests and functional specification

  • Develop training and change programs to support project

  • Liaise with Divisional Management to understand direction within their functional area of responsibility

  • Understand compliance and regulatory matters to be reviewed by experts

  • Support business initiatives utilizing Project Management expertise.

  • Maintain security in compliance with client's Security directives.

  • Critically evaluate information gathered from multiple sources, reconcile conflicts, and distinguish user requests from the underlying true needs

  • Translate high-level information into details as well as summarize detailed information

  • Communicate and collaborate with users to analyze information needs and functional requirements

  • Collaborate with developers and subject matter experts to establish the technical vision and analyze tradeoffs between usability and performance needs.

  • Work with users to d Develop requirements specifications according to standard templates

  • Liaise between the business, technology teams and support teams

  • Comply with company's Global IT Policies & Procedures

  • Define concept MRP/MPS the under direction of project leaders

  • Serve as the conduit between the user community and the software development team through which requirements flow

Basic Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in business process / subject matter expertise in areas like MRP / MPS / Supply Chain

  • 1+ years of experience in creating international distribution centers in SAP ECC environment. Must have strong business skills/Process and able to speak to best practices within Supply Chain Distribution

  • Business Process knowledge is Supply-Chain including Logistics, Planning, Sourcing, Transportation, Global Trade Compliance, Carrier integrations, and use of 3PLs.

  • Should have logistics interface experience with 3rd party warehouse and other customer owned systems. Very good working knowledge of EDI and IDoc functionality. Able to understand and work in any ITSM tool (like Service Now) for ticketing and Change Management process

Team player with excellent organizational, communication and coordination skills. Expert Knowledge SAP ECC and related software.

  • Knowledge of Logistic techniques, methods, and tools. Subject matter best practices. Knowledge of SAP Reporting capabilities.

  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written. Should have good working experience on complex customization programs

Note : This position is less about SAP and more about process and the use of proper process and proper handling of goods from site to site and how to think about distribution centers and supply chain for high-tech solutions involving custom and low volume parts. They need to help the business with process and material flow.
