The IT SAP Analyst leads and/or executes the analysis, design, configuration, development, testing, implementation and operational support for SAP solutions supporting the Global Finance organization.

Specifically, the IT SAP Analyst will deliver, and support solutions related to General Ledger Accounting, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivables, Fixed Assets, Product Costing, Material Ledger, Cost Center Accounting, Internal Order Accounting, and Financial Planning.

The IT SAP Analyst works with multiple stakeholders to understand and document the end-to-end business processes and related challenges then recommends, builds and implements one or more IT software solutions to support the processes.

The IT SAP Analyst spends roughly 20% of their time working directly with their business partners (e.g. controller, finance manager) supporting day-to-day operations of the record-to-report business processes.

This person will train other resources in SAP as well.


Minimum 5 years' experience with SAP FICO

Must have Functional experience and understand configurations, setting and overall process flow of SAP.

Your highly visible and critical input will help to drive the Spine strategy on a global level. You will apply structured problem solving to collect, analyze and report competitive intelligence (CI), incorporating primary and secondary data sources to generate actionable insights. You will create databases for reporting purposes and analyzing trends. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of data sources, evaluating their credibility and potential utility, and leverage them across the company where appropriate. Position can be located in Memphis, TN, Louisville, CO or Minneapolis, MN. A Day in the Life Monitor * You will identify and monitor sources ofinformation on competitors such as: * FDA sites for competitorapplications/approvals/clearances as well as clinical studies/trials * company press releases for new launches etc. * competitor websites for information on products,pricing and company capability & social media sites for information oncustomer attitudes towards competitors * Earnings/investor updates * Stakeholder engagement (i.e. promotionalactivity) * Serve as a central resource to gather andcompile intelligence on competitors including product portfolios, commercialstrategies, financials, pricing, contracting and regional strategies. Centralize * Manage and integrate information collected fromCI as well as other functions including Market Research, Medical, MarketAccess, Regulatory to formulate an over-arching assessment * Synthesize disease area pipelines, competitivetimelines, clinical development maps, product profiles and market overviews * Coordinate, facilitate & report out onCompetitive Intelligence collection efforts (inclusive of publications ortalks) at major medical conferences/congresses/society events . * Get input from Medtronic marketing functionsacross the globe to compliment market intel. Educate & Communicate * Articulate and educate internal stakeholders onthe relevant impact of changing market dynamics (i.e. reimbursement environment,biosimilar regulations, general environmental factors, etc…) to their businessfrom a CI perspective. * Leverage and share learnings across the globalSpine business. Regularly circulate competitive updates and playbooks andsupport regional commercial leaders, to enable execution of competitiveresponse plans. * Present on a regular basis in-depth analyses andsummaries of results, interpreting and communicating results. * Partner with therapy leaders to develop andcommunicate implications of competitor positioning, market-shaping and clinicaldevelopment strategies * Provide context and objective analysis ofcompetitive (commercial, clinical, regulatory and scientific) information toenable actions and business decision-making Facilitate * Organize and facilitate strategic exercises& competitive simulations to anticipate competitive activity, respond tochanges in key market conditions and generate company plans. Market Trend Analysis * Maintain an in-depth knowledge of designatedmarkets and trends through reading reports, market research, data manipulationand financial modeling and analysis. * Perform thorough, systematic analysis of keyindustry trends; the general social economic and political environment; legaland regulatory issues; customers; current and potential competitors. * Support efforts to collect comprehensiveindustry, competitor and customer models including, but not limited to, marketshare, growth projections and trends, and market forces. Build Relationships & Credibility * Develop productive relationships with Global andRegional teams to define business problems and develop integrated analysisplans based on best practice methodologies. * Work closely with the decision support team –market research, forecasting, analytics – to develop integrated assessments onkey business questions * Educate the value and importance of CI to newemployees and maintain a strong position of coaching/promoting CI through dailyefforts. * Work to grow competitive intelligence/strategyto support other functions in the organization. Must Have: Minimum Requirements * Bachelor's degree * 7+ years of relevant experience in marketing, sales, competitive intelligence, analytics or research, or advanced degree with 5+ years of experience * At least 3 years of experience in the biopharmaceutical sector in execution of competitive intelligence and/or strategic projects across multiple therapeutic areas Nice to Have * Broad, working knowledge of commonly used intelligence/analytic databases * Demonstrated analytical skills—understands the advantages and limits of different analytical approaches and studies * Ability to collect, interpret and contextualizeinsights; history of delivering competitive and market assessments withstrategic implications * Ability to integrate multiple pieces ofdisparate information from CI, Market Research, Medical, Market Access,Regulatory, Research, etc. to formulate one's own assessment * Demonstrated ability to think strategically and analyze data to support key business decisions * Excellent communication and interpersonal skills including developing relationships at all levels within the organization and indirectly influencing business objectives * Strong attention to detail and focus on qualityand accuracy * Strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint * Deep understanding of basic marketing concepts * Excellent oral, written, and presentationskills—able to explain complex concepts clearly to a variety of audiences * Ability to work collaboratively in team-basedenvironment About Medtronic Together, we can change healthcare worldwide.
