The primary responsibility of this position is to effectively support the Strategic Alliance Partnership (SAP) program through timely delivery and implementation of project elements. The Strategic Alliance Partnership Coordinator requires skills which include analytics, ability to work with a team and work well under pressure and with deadlines, basic marketing and interpersonal relationship skills for both internal and external stakeholders, along with the ability to develop creative solutions for daily business challenges.

General Partnership Management & Upkeep:

  • Prospect new and maintain long-term relationships with existing points of contact (media relations, communications, & marketing) per partnership account by utilizing interpersonal relationship skills and providing outstanding customer service.

  • Develop and manage a database of contacts and track partner relationships with internal and external stakeholders to ensure deliverables are fulfilled.

  • Negotiate and execute barter agreements with partners for live event and other annual initiatives.

  • Develop and execute weekly communication tailored for and delivered to SAP partners in collaboration with Brooke Prince, Associate Director, SAPs.

  • Ensure partners are providing up-to-date information regarding the following:

  • Reciprocal Links

  • Revised Logos

  • Physical Mailing Lists

  • Email Lists

  • Updated Memorandum of Understanding (MOU)

  • Microsite Updates

Business Development:

  • Understand and communicate the organization's capabilities and offerings.

  • Perform routine check-ins with established partnership accounts for potential sales/creative/collaborative marketing opportunities including but not limited to:

  • Print and digital advertising across web platforms and flagship publications.

  • Development of custom projects (print, digital, video, etc.).

  • Utilization of in-house productions (Print Shop, Studio, etc.).

  • Leveraging MJH Communications work to become an agency of record for partners.

  • Communicate in-kind metric reporting to all established partners to track and optimize the value we provide and receive through the program, both quarterly and annually

Identifying/Prospecting New Accounts:

  • Consult with the sales, editorial, and ambassador team leads to identify prospective organizations as targets for partnership.

  • Research Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs) at prospect organizations to use as leverage/champion our organization capabilities.

  • Identify key points of contact at prospective institutions.

  • Set up and lead partnership prospect/kickoff calls detailing the benefits of becoming a Strategic Alliance Partner.

  • Capture any notes/action items from each call with the goal of advancing partnership conversations.

  • Draft and send partnership agreement to sign and return.

Special Programs:

  • Work with sales and other shared services in identifying potential partnership organizations to target for collaborative marketing and audience generation efforts on select programs.

  • Work with partnership contacts to drive recruitment by providing them the necessary marketing collateral to disseminate internally.

  • Provide partnership contacts with routine updates detailing new program information and registration numbers.

  • Work with internal marketing teams to develop marketing collateral specific to partnering organizations per program.

  • Provide onsite assistance with event execution and appropriately represent organization when needed

  • Responsibilities are inclusive of but not limited to:

  • Booth management at partnering events

  • Registration attendant

  • Build/breakdown of company materials

  • Program kickoffs

  • Travel <10%

Internal Responsibilities:

  • Attend internal meetings with respective team members specific to projects.

  • Take notes/capture action items.

  • Contribute to the conversation with relevant partner updates and feedback.

  • Work with development team to create new partner pages

  • Perform weekly sweeps on website

  • Work with editorial and web team to ensure content is tagged to the appropriate partner page.

  • Keep record of all signed partnership agreements.

  • Routinely update partnership slides for presentations and provide them to the necessary team members.

  • Prepare for partner visits - assemble materials (pubs, update metrics).
