The SAP Functional Analyst is responsible for supporting all requirements related to the support and implementation of SAP FICO functionality with specialization in costing. The individual will work closely with the SAP team, business users, other IT resources, and consultants to meet the required objectives.
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Develop and deliver Costing and Finance solutions to fulfill business requirements.
Deliver project deliverables including blue prints, functional specifications, system configuration, test, training and go-live support.
May lead fit/gap workshops and present system solution alternatives to business leaders and/or process owners.
Assume the role of IT project leader, on small to medium initiatives, including technical upgrades.
Review application code, documentation, architecture and development methods for quality and adherence to standards.
Perform daily support of user activity including maintenance and configuration of existing systems.
Perform 24X7 on-call applications support responsibilities when needed.
Perform application changes as required to fulfill business requirements and in compliance with SOX and segregation of duties policies.
Facilitate the execution of user acceptance testing by business users.
Works with and empowers the Controllers and Super users in the FI and CO area.
Ensure change management records are adequately documented.
Apply the standard application development methodology and assist in implementing sound practices within the development team.
Continually seeks self-education to acquire deeper and wider knowledge in the area of expertise.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE
Bachelor's degree from four-year College or University (Finance or Accounting) is required.
3-5 years of experience with SAP CO and FI modules with atleast 2 end to end implementations
.Knowledge of complete record to report cycle and how these areas integrate with SCM Procure to Pay Flow, SD Order to Cash Flow and PP Plan to Produce Flow is required.
2-3 years of experience in working as a cost accountant or experienced with costing systems and modules.
Experience working hands-on with the business or a background in the accounting of a lean manufacturing business environment.
Experience in S4 Simple Finance preferred;
Experience with SAP Query and Report Writer preferred
Demonstrated understanding and application of the functional and technical aspects of the analysis and design process and its associated documentation (ie. Functional/technical specifications, test plans)
Bachelor's degree from a 4-year college preferred or equivalent experience required.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS
Preference given for SAP, CPA or other relevant certifications.
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English. Ability to understand Spanish or Mandarin a plus. Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or government regulations. Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.

Configuration of SAP CO with some knowledge of SD, PP or MM integration points
Experience working with SOX compliant company
SAP Financial report painter/report writer
Experience with Hyperion
Work is performed in a normal office environment with minimal physical risks involved. The noise level is usually low to moderate. Occasionally the job may require that time in the production areas, which require OSHA safety standards and PPE requirements.
