Come and be a part of a global Database Administration team that spans half the world from London to Seattle, and have the opportunity to work with subject matter experts in Couchbase, SQL Server, MySQL, PostgreSQL, and Oracle Database. Our team is responsible for 40,000+ databases located in multiple corporate data centers as well as in cloud infrastructure.

The role:

  • Enhance database administration manageability and scalability of our database environments through automation of tasks such as database provisioning, monitoring, and machine responses to common alert conditions

  • Standardize of Database Administration across platforms by implementing cross platform tools for database monitoring

  • Continued improvement to the database administration lifecycle, including outreach efforts to the development, QA, product management, and service management teams

  • Identify opportunities to improve our database implementations and performance

  • Define, develop, test, and implement schema enhancements, SQL query enhancements, and tuning enhancements to physical database design and architecture.

Requirements

  • 7+ in Microsoft SQL Server. Knowledge of and experience with MySQL considered a plus.

  • 5+ in scripting on Windows, specifically, PowerShell for Windows environments. Basic knowledge of UNIX Shell scripting preferred.

  • 5+ supporting relational databases in an enterprise-level production environment, including AWS cloud.

  • A solid foundation in core database administration competencies including high-availability, recoverability (backup\restore), installation and configuration, security, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and ETL operations.

  • A 4-year degree in computer science or a related field from an accredited college or university, or equivalent industry experience.

  • A positive attitude and the traits that are critical to success as a DBA: analytical skills; critical thinking skills; attention to detail; excellent verbal and written communication skills; the ability to properly prioritize, plan and organize work; and the ability to multi-task effectively.

  • A passion for working with databases and how data can benefit our customers and our business.

  • Enthusiasm for working in a distributed, global team environment, including "follow-the-sun" support.

SAP Concur is looking to hire an experienced and ambitious Content Manager who will be responsible for overseeing the content presented on our external customer portal and our public knowledgebase, and will also be responsible for creating, editing, updating and removing customer facing content. It takes creativity, leadership skills and of course, writing ability, to produce and publish useful content. This role will also use data and feedback from users to help evaluate and enhance the value of the materials presented. The Content Manager will be a solid leader, clear communicator and possess great analytical skills. Responsibilities include: * Plan and execute a Services customer content strategy that drives high engagement and is aligned with our short-term and long-term goals * Serve as editor-in-chief for our customer facing knowledgebase (KB) content to ensure quality, clarity and consistency * Develops proactive KB (vs. case driven) articles * Builds and manages archiving strategy * Facilitates active movement from internal to external KB - edit, proofread and improve writers' posts * Review KB for consolidation, duplication, identifying and improving high value content * Identifying trends in content & opportunities where there are skill gaps by building business cases and making recommendations to address them e.g.– training, proactive articles, coaching etc. * Evaluate overall quality of articles – adherence to content standards and work with the specific teams to feedback coaching recommendations * Be able to co-ordinate articles which are in other languages to ensure that they are also aligned with the English language knowledge base * Working closely with other teams within Concur to devise a web content strategy that aligns with the company's wider goals. * Collaborate with design teams to plan and develop site content, style and layout * Apply design thinking to ensure a seamless and effortless customer self-service journey * Research, write, proofread and publish engaging online content. * Review target audience performance and strategize new targeting tactics, recommend content optimizations across the Services organization * Participate in the analysis of the qualitative and quantitative data on usage of articles and related content Experience Desired: * Proven work experience as a Content Editor, Web Editor or similar role * Knowledgeable and experience with the KCS (Knowledge Centered Service) methodology or V6 certification preferred * Portfolio of published work * Excellent writing and editing skills in English * Knowledge of working with languages other than English or fluency in foreign languages preferred * Attention to detail * Hands-on experience with Content Management Systems * Basic knowledge of search engine analytics * Basic technical knowledge of HTML and web publishing * Good organizational and time-management skills * BSc degree in Journalism, Marketing or relevant field SAP'S DIVERSITY COMMITMENT To harness the power of innovation, SAP invests in the development of its diverse employees.
