Our Opening and Your Responsibilities

You will act as a technology subject matter expert in the SAP Basis team. There you will support planning, documentation and quality assurance processes. You will also change control, which will support the timely implementation of enhancements to the server environment whilst maintaining the highest levels of operational service. In addition, you will support and drive technical initiatives across our big and complex SAP landscape.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Driving standards, quality & consistency approach in all SAP Basis delivery work

  • Perform SAP installations, upgrades, DB upgrades, patching & other configuration or maintenance activities in support of business change program activities

  • Support problem analysis; leading to architectural pattern redevelopment & continual service improvement activity (individually & through the subject matter expert (SME) team)

  • Assist teams in implementation of solutions of problem analysis & remediation activities

  • Support the Landscape Managers with providing BAU (Business As Usual) oversight & proactive services delivery

  • Involvement in Release Management and cut over tasks

  • Review of reports with the support team

  • Participate in established governance and knowledge sharing forums

What You Need to Succeed

  • Bachelors degree in Information Technologies or equivalent experience

  • At least 3 years of relevant work experience and a good knowledge of newest SAP technologies and procedures within an international company with complex system environment on a global scale

  • Strong technical skills / awareness in the SAP Basis administration area, acquired through practical experience in installation from a implementation, support or consulting background

  • Good communication skills with a high degree of independence and self-reliant way of working

  • Ability to work in a global matrix environment (cultural awareness)

  • Excellent written and spoken English
