Major Function

Software Developer for an SAP environment

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Code, test, debug, document and implement complex software applications

• Prepare program specifications and diagrams, and develop coding logic flowcharts

• Analyze customer requirements and translate them into technical requirements

• Lead the design phase of the project by providing superior technical expertise and direction to the project team

• Manage delivery to both the functional and non-functional requirements, including performance, scalability, availability, reliability and security

• Support, improve, and adhere to Toro software development process (SDLC), standards, and best practices

• Solve complex technical problems and effectively communicate solutions to system architects, peers and management

• Demonstrate self driven, highly motivated, excellent communication skills

• Provide detail analysis and design for new development, enhancement, and maintenance of systems

• Assist with production support issues

• Ensure that system improvements are successfully implemented and monitored to increase efficiency

• Create complex prototypes

• Comply with architectural standards and established methodologies and practices.

• Provide technical advice, instruction, and training to other unit/department personnel with less experience

• Collaborates with other developers and provides significant contributions to develop specifications to resolve business client questions, problems, and to address enhancement needs.

• Interacts directly with business clients. Serves as a mentor to lower level developers.

• Enforce standards for development and documentation such as naming conventions, revision notes, version control.

Specifications

Education and Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Business Administration and 6 + years' experience in SAP ABAP development or equivalent years of experience

Capabilities:

• Knowledge of all phases of software development including design, coding, testing, debugging, implementation, and support

• Strong trouble shooting and problem solving skills

• Ability to with other team members

• Ability to work with and to understand business client requirements

Applicable Applications Experience:

• Proficiency with ABAP in SAP modules (SD, MM, PP, FICO, FSCM, EWM a plus)

• Strong background in ABAP ECC 6.0 development:

• Classical and Object Oriented ABAP including Open SQL

• Report development with ALV's, SAP Query, Quickviewer

• ALE, BAPIs, IDocs, Web Services(REST and SOAP), NetWeaver Gateway

• Conversions using BAPI, BDC, LSMW

• User Exits, Customer Exits, BTE, BAdI, Enhancement Framework

• Dialog programming, RF screen development

• SAP Scripts, Smart Forms

• NetWeaver Developer Studio in an ECC 6.0 environment

• Upgrade experience using SPDD and SPAU

• Proven experience working with other developers on team based projects

• Understanding of application architecture, system design and proven UML tools

• SAP Workflow design, change, and support a plus

• ABAP programming on SAP HANA a plus

• Experience working with SAP Add-ons(OpenText VIM, Ariba) is a plus

• Working with OData web services, CDS views is a plus

• Fiori development experience using HTML5, CSS and JavaScript a plus
