Sanitation Worker, ON, Print Services - Lakeland

Description

The purpose of this position to maintain Printing Services in a clean, and where required, sanitary manner. This includes the janitorial/sanitation maintenance of all office, warehouse, and production areas of the plant, along with exterior, parking lot, and property perimeter cleanliness.

Responsibilities:

A Printing Services Sanitation Worker is typically responsible for ….

• Emptying support and high volume production waste containers and removing all palletized production waste,

• Cleaning common areas in plant such as lobbies, break rooms, walkways, and restrooms,

• Keeping break rooms and restrooms stocked with supplies and in complete sanitary condition,

• Cleaning outside areas such as parking lot, outside break areas, windows, and around dumpsters,

• Cleaning office areas, which includes: vacuuming, dusting, and cleaning cubicle windows, and

• Cleaning production and warehouse floors and ceilings, including the stripping and waxing of tiled floors.

Required Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent

• Basic math and measurement

• Basic volume and weight knowledge

• Mechanical skills and abilities

• Physical abilities, including: the lifting of up to 70 pounds, extended walking/standing (up to 14 hours/day), bending, squatting, etc.

• Good communication skills

• Interpersonal and teamwork skills

• Problem solving skills

• Adaptability and versatility (change) skills

• Incumbent must be willing and able to work variable work schedules when and as required by the work load, which may include weekend and/or holiday hours

Preferred Qualifications

• One year sanitation experience

• Sanitation, janitorial, and/or building maintenance certifications
