Pay: $24.82/hour plus $1.25/hour shift differential & up to 3% quarterly bonus &

$1,500 sign on bonus!

Statement of Job

  • Sanitation Technicians maintain a spotless, safe, and food-safe factory environment. Working under the guidance of our Sanitation Leadworker and Supervisor, you'll use Ecolab cleaning agents, state-of-the-art equipment, and cleaning tools to ensure our equipment and facility are continuously clean and exceeding FSQ standards.

Major Duties

  • Maintain Facility Cleanliness: Perform thorough cleaning of infrastructure, including overhead ceilings, pipes, walls, tanks, and equipment, ensuring a spotless environment.

  • Adapt to Various Conditions: Work efficiently in hot, humid, cold, and confined areas, demonstrating versatility and resilience.

  • Quality Process Participation: Understand and actively engage in quality process techniques, contributing to continuous improvement.

  • Safety Compliance: Adhere to company policies for job safety, prioritizing a secure work environment.

  • Factory Shutdown Availability: Be flexible and prepared to work during all factory shutdowns, ensuring thorough cleaning and maintenance. (Night shift availability required during shutdowns.)

  • Power Washer Operation: Utilize power washers for up to 65% of your 12-hour shift, maintaining equipment and infrastructure cleanliness.

  • High Elevation Work: Climb ladders and steps, and work at high elevations from cages and aerial lifts, demonstrating comfort with heights.

  • Chemical Safety: Work safely with strong industrial chemicals, following proper handling procedures.

  • Physical Requirements: Push, pull, and lift 40 pounds or more, ensuring physical tasks are completed efficiently.

  • Documentation: Accurately fill out necessary documentation and reports, maintaining proper records.

  • Additional Duties: Perform other tasks as assigned by supervision, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to contribute wherever needed.

Special Requirements

  • Skill and Independence: Utilize mental acuity, manual dexterity, and initiative, demonstrating independence and expertise in your role.

  • Equipment Operation Certification: Obtain and maintain forklift certification and operate aerial lift equipment safely and effectively.

  • Visual Alertness: Maintain constant visual alertness while cleaning to protect food safety and ensure the safety of yourself and others.

  • Physical Strength and Skills: Apply substantial physical strength and skills for heavy power blasting, lifting, and manual cleaning tasks.

  • Environmental Resilience: Work effectively in varying conditions, including heat, humidity, and cold atmospheres.

  • Training and Certification: Complete comprehensive training programs and obtain certifications in cleaning effectiveness and chemical safety, including advanced cleaning techniques, safe handling of industrial chemicals, and ongoing education to stay updated with industry standards and regulations.
