Sanitation Supervisor

POSITION SUMMARY:

Oversee and supervise all Sanitation & Housekeeping activities for the facility to improve pre-op scores and production start up times and overall plant cleanliness. Provide hands on training for all new employees to meet corporate sanitation expectations. The Sanitation Supervisor is responsible for(and/or implementing/supporting/maintaining) All Good Manufacturing Practices, Food Safety Culture, Food Safety-Practices and SQF.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Oversee and lead all Sanitation activities,including but not limited to, direction of team to areas of priorty or concern; must work closely with QA to maintain a high level of facility cleanliness and successful EMP swab results.

• Must be able to work nights and weekends.

• Develop, maintain, and supervise Sanitation & Housekeeping staff including team skill development, disciplinary action, and assisting with team performance evaluations.

• Must have ability to motivate and coach team.

• Must have patience and the ability to remain calm in stressful sisuations.

• Must be thorough, with strict attention to detail.

• Maintain Sanitation supplies including chemical usage and application, inventory of equipment, storage of equipment to maitain all 5S areas.

• Complete daily work orders,daily paper work and assigned MSS areas.

• Lead the team by using and maintaining proper GMP & PPE.

• Supervisor will participate in audits and inspections in the absence of the Sanitation Manager.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:

• Minimum 1 year food manufacturing experience.

• 5 years in food manufacturing preferred.

• Must be well organized with strong communication and interpersonal skills, and possess the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast paced work environment.

• Must have the ability to protect and use machines while running to clean in some situations.

• Must have prior hands-on sanitation experience.

• Must be competent in MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook,and other computer applications.

• Majority of work is done walking, standing, bending, and squatting. Must be able to climb and work overhead. Must be able to lift a minimum of 50 lbs. Must be able to read sanitation schedules and perform assigned tasks.

• Chemicals (usage and employee proteection). Must be able to read and understand MSS and SDS Sheets. Read, understand and write SSOP's.
