Sanitation Supervisor

Job Summary:

We are seeking a Sanitation Supervisor to oversee and maintain proper control and cleaning of the entire plant to ensure all products are produced in a hygienically clean facility. Willing and capable of being professionally trained and will assist the department leaders in their efforts to build a sustainable team and sanitation program. Capable of assisting with the critically important task of cleaning the line and facility to ensure products are produced on clean equipment, in a hygienic environment. Being the change that makes the facility and company better. Capable and totally committed to assisting the department & company to meet or exceed compliance expectations. Capable of empowering team members and other co-workers to consistently perform above expectations.

Responsibilities:

• Monitor sanitation technicians for a safe operation of equipment.

• Professionally capable of administering disciplinary actions, in a manner that empowers and encourages employees to continuously improve.

• Consistently performs documented audits and verifies that all techs are consistently executing the 7-steps of essential sanitation properly.

• Audits/verifies the MSS is accurate & properly updated in real time. Adjust PICs & PECs accordingly if cleanings need to be rescheduled to meet the business needs.

• Provide general supervision in the areas of sanitation procedures.

• Never allow equipment in need of repairs to be used. Issue a work order and follow up to ensure that needed repairs have been made and that equipment is declared safe to operate.

• Train and instruct all sanitation technicians on the requirements of their job, to include area specific safety training (Including LOTOTO), operation of equipment, GMP, and any other requirements as needed before working in sanitation. Document all training.

• Train sanitation technicians in proper cleaning procedures and use of chemicals and PPE.

• Conducts pre-shift round checks of the facility to identify and correct Pest control, GMP, Chemical control, and food safety deficiencies. Assist in review of pest control service reports, documents, and corrective actions.

• Perform daily cleaning per MSS and as required. Log in all daily, weekly, & monthly activities on the MSS.

• Perform and document daily Sanitation Post-op.

• Collect swabs as needed.

• Work closely with Sanitation manager to schedule crew and activities on shift and between shifts.

• Conduct a weekly documented physical inventory on chemicals. Ensure proper levels of inventory of sanitation supplies are maintained.

• Conduct a documented visual inspection of equipment that has been cleaned.

• Analyze sanitation KPIs and implement process improvements.

• Perform minor repairs of sanitation equipment and installation of dispensers.

• Manage oil, trash, and solid bakery waste removal program.

• Follow all OSHA safety rules.

• Enforces all company rules in a fair and consistent manner.

• Report any food safety or quality problems to personnel with authority to initiate action.

• Follows J&J Snack Food's Food Safety Plan (FSP), the Safe Quality Food (SQF) Program, the Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), the Good Documentation Practices (GDPs), OSHA, and other Regulatory requirements.

• Must be able to oversee both Food service and Bakery Sanitation activities throughout shift.

• Must be flexible to work any shift, work weekends, and holidays.

• Must be knowledgeable on allergens and identity reserve requirements.

• Any assigned duties as they come up.

1.Education and training: Prefer High School diploma or GED.

2.Job-related experience: Minimum of two years' experience at the level of Sanitation Foreman or Supervisor.

Must have previous experience in the safe use of air hoses, pressure washers, floor scrubber, depositors, conveyor belts, large power mixers, trash compactors, cardboard bailer, sanitation chemicals & supplies, etc.

3.Technical knowledge and skills:

Experience working in a food-processing environment.

Knowledgeable in food safety standards.

Read & write English. Must be bilingual: English/Spanish.

Basic arithmetic.

Pay: $45,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
