Available: September 1, 2020.
Schedule: 20.75 hours per week (specific schedule to be determined by the school principal but begins in the morning when school opens), Monday through Friday on days school is in session for students. School year is 180 days. For the 2020-2021 school year, there will be additional days for training prior to students returning to school.
Salary & Benefits: Salary in accordance with the Easton Non-Certified Staff bargaining unit agreement; no benefits.
Take direction from certified Reading Specialist to support students with remedial reading needs in one-on-one or small group settings
Assist with preparing instructional materials for student activities
Respect the confidentiality of student information and not discuss them outside of the classroom
Refer all parent concerns and questions about any student's progress to the Reading Specialist
Associate's degree or evidence of having passed the Para-Pro Assessment
Ability to communicate and interact with young children in a positive manner, with sensitivity to their needs
Good organizational skills
Fundamental understanding of the developmental needs of young children
A sense of humor
