Generating and developing new businesses in order to increase revenue through cold calling, industry networking and appointments.
* Sell company products and services to potential and existing customers
* Prospect for, identify and qualify potential sales opportunities
* Leads - Follow up on sales leads that come into company for their territory or directed opportunity
* Effectively maintain relationships with existing customers through timely and accurate information
* Maintain timely and effective communication with clients throughout the sales cycle
* Strategize best approach for winning business in competitive situations utilizing Sales Manager
* Prepare and maintain a sales pipe as required
* Consistently and accurately update activity daily
* Prepares weekly schedule for Sales Manager by Sunday evening of each week
* Prepare and submit weekly expense report beginning of each week
* Manages an effective weekly schedule ensuring that time is balanced properly to
* Communicate effectively within the company with timely and accurate information relating to customer engagement, sales and pipeline data
* Attend trade shows and conferences as directed and setup equipment
* Preserve confidential and sensitive information both inside and outside the company.
* Follows all company's policies and procedures
* Maintain ongoing communication with sales manager minimum 3 times a day (AM, Mid, PM)

* Maintain daily and weekly call numbers based on assigned metric

Work hours are from 8:30am to 5:30pm Monday through Friday. Extended hours and/or off hours are required depending on the current task.
Minimum A.A.S. Degree. Knowledge of retail grocery a plus. Knowledge of computer operations helpful.
1. Associate's degree or higher.
2. 2+ years of B2B sales experience selling payroll services.
3. Must have a car.

Your Mission: Reporting to the Director of Payments, the Payroll Senior Manager is responsible for leading and managing the global payroll function at Medidata; ensuring payroll is run accurately, timely and in compliance with all foreign, federal, state, local payroll and regulatory requirements; directing and coordinating the implementation and administration of payroll policies, procedures and regulations and the approval of all master payroll calendars and processing schedules; and proactively working with Human Resources to optimize end to end payroll process. This role also works closely with the Accounting, SEC Reporting and Internal Audit teams to ensure all financial controls and reporting are correct. Your Competencies: * Lead end-to-end global payroll function for 2,000+ employees * Manage, coach and develop payroll staff * Manage global payroll operations for US, UK, Ireland, Germany, Switzerland, China, Japan, Korea & Singapore * Ensure accuracy of new hire and personnel changes from HR * Manage implementation of Workday Payroll Project for UK and US. * Lead the geographic expansion of payroll processing into new countries as the company rapidly expands its global footprint * Lead the payroll due diligence and integration for potential acquisitions * Develop a close working partnership with HR Continuously implement process improvements and optimize payroll process including enhancements of existing payroll systems. Maintain policies and procedures including key internal control documentation * Manage timesheet administration for professional services and non-exempt employees * Manage semi-monthly expense processing for International employees * Manage process for garnishment, child support and tax levies * Create and run various reports using ADP or Workday Reporting as needed * Manage process for manual check updates for Stock Option activity to report wages and taxes * Ensure that payroll processes and controls are followed for SOX Compliance * Manage process to create payroll journal entries for import and/or entry into accounting system * Work with tax agencies (Foreign, Federal, State and Local) and payroll service providers to resolve tax issues * Provide support for various audits (internal and external) Your Education & Experience: * Requires minimum of 7 years of payroll experience and at least 3 years managing and developing payroll staff * Ability to provide excellent payroll service * Experience with international payroll processing and set-up of payroll in foreign countries * Experience with performing due diligence and integration of acquisitions from a payroll perspective * Strong project management skills * Understanding of multistate payroll taxes at Federal, State and Local levels. * Knowledge of International payroll taxes and regulations * Experience with ADP * Experience with Workday HCM and Payroll * Excellent knowledge of Microsoft Office and Google Suite * General understanding of Sarbanes Oxley * Demonstrated technical aptitude, high level of accuracy, organization, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently * Ability to meet hard deadlines and work under pressure * Ability to problem solve and find solutions to issues. * Strong written and communication skills * Bachelors degree from accredited university Medidata is making a real difference in the lives of patients everywhere by accelerating critical drug and medical device development, enabling life-saving drugs and medical devices to get to market faster.
