Position Summary

The Salesforce.com Developer designs and constructs moderately complex apps and functionalities and provides basic development and architecture guidance to the Salesforce.com Admin team.

The incumbent is expected to provide mentorship and direction to more junior Salesforce.com Developers.

Principal Responsibilities

  • Perform batch uploads and updates of master data records. Complex data migrations, data transformations, and data integrations will be involved.

  • Develop and test web services integrations and "mash ups".

  • Develop/configure HTML, Visualforce, Javascript, Apex classes, and Apex Triggers.

  • Provide technical design/support for security deployment (adhering to corporate standards).

  • Provide technical design/support for mobile device support.

  • Manage to the Salesforce.com limits (e.g. data storage, governor limits, etc.) to ensure compliance of the Salesforce.com agreement.

  • Design and deliver complex analytics leveraging cross-referencing data from multiple sources.

  • Unit Test (and/or develop test scripts) for all complex deliverables above (e.g. integration, security, Visualforce).

  • Perform all advanced impact analysis regarding change management relative to custom code, integrations, etc.

  • Technical documentation of all advanced configuration and code aspects of the Salesforce.com system, including Functional Specifications, Design Specifications, Database Specifications.

  • Conform to good programming standards and good coding practices.

Education / Experience Requirements

  • Bachelor of Science degree in Computer Science, Engineering or equivalent.

  • Salesforce.com Certified Developer (DEV401) required

  • 2+ years development experience with minimum 1-year Salesforce.com development experience

  • Experience with integrating Salesforce.com with ERP systems such as SAP and QAD is a plus.

Specialized Skills / Other Requirements

  • ECC integration to Salesforce.com experience a plus.

  • VisualForce/ APEX / HTML5 / Javascript / Java or any object-oriented programming language development a plus.

  • Strong programming skills plus knowledge of database modeling required.

  • Technical experience with SalesForce.com including Campaign Management, Contact, Accounts, Lead, Opportunity Management, Forecasting, Reports, and Dashboards.

  • Extensive experience interpreting user requirements and delivering technical specifications to address user requirements.

  • Demonstrated initiative, project management skills, detail orientation, and the ability to undertake complex initiatives with minimal supervision.

  • Demonstrated ability to effectively work both independently and within cross-functional project teams that span multiple time zones.

  • Strong written and verbal skills.

HCS DEVELOPER SENIOR - EPIC CLARITY REPORTING - IT ANALYTICS The Senior Report Developer is a key contributor supporting, analyzing, and creating information for enterprise wide consumption. The Senior Report Developer will support reporting for quality and other needs from Epic EHR. Works with enterprise wide business and IT management to understand and prioritize data and information requirements. Solves technical problems. Optimizes the performance of enterprise data, analytics, and interoperability tools. Creates testing methodology and criteria. Educates end-users on reporting and analytics tools to enhance decision making and develop business cases to support enterprise wide data, analytics, and interoperability solutions. Proficient in applying established standards. Works independently and coaches junior team members. Duties The Senior Report Developer supports all levels of Epic reporting at UNC to include report requests, dashboards, extracts, and security. Evaluates requests and consults other teams to facilitate data and information needs of the health care system. Identifies and recommends solutions for larger and complex projects and ensures best practice development. Formulates and develops plans at a high level and documents required steps to achieve stated requirements. Reviews plans with management/peers as appropriate. Develops and maintains clear, understandable documentation to describe program development and modification, as well as the troubleshooting process. Updates system and support documentation as necessary to reflect changes to programs, solutions, reports and interfaces. Updates management, customers and others as appropriate on a timely basis regarding progress on assigned tasks, projects and issues, via written or oral reports. Assists other IT teams with selection and provides technical evaluation of products / tools to ensure that the proposed solution adheres to enterprise-wide requirements, adapts to new requirements and changing technologies in order to meet business standardization protocols and objectives. Provides guidance and mentorship to report developers to ensure best practices, standard methodologies, and process are executed. Functions as a technical consultant to the health system and maintains high service levels. Participates in system wide initiatives to improve efficiency and reach institutional goals and objectives. Functions as a project coordinator for small scale projects. Develops project plans, and sets priorities for working teams. Participates in a 24/7 on-call rotation for supporting assigned applications.
