A Salesforce Technical Architect (TA) is a strategic position to our customers and within the services organization. TA resources are experienced technical subject matter experts within specific domains of the Salesforce applications and tools and must be able to articulately consult with clients on these. The TA will be working in a project team on client facing engagements. Typically on the larger projects the TA will work alongside a Solution Architect (SA) to assist and validate the SA in specific technical areas as well the overall solution. On smaller engagements its possible that an SA isnt required and the TA will work alone (with a Project Manager) taking on a hybrid role. The TA must therefore be comfortable in taking on the role as technical lead and therefore possess good consultancy skills or aspire to this. WE are looking for the successful candidate to join our team for at least for a 4 to 12 month project. THIS IS A FEDERAL GOVERNMENT CONTRACT AND YOU MUST BE A US CITIZEN.

Responsibilities

  • Validate technical design and solution
  • Ability to solution based on client requirements
  • Clearly and articulately document solutions
  • Ability to scope, define and manage work packages. The TA will potentially be implementing work packages or managing work packages to be built by other team members or teams.
  • Provide technical consultation on Salesforce Service Cloud tool set and solutions
  • Execute advanced configuration/development activities per assigned work orders
  • Serve as a technical liaison to product teams to support custom and/or atypical initiatives
  • Conduct solutions testing and validation
  • Support documentation process by providing applicable artifacts (code samples, screenshots, etc.)
  • Travel to client sites for onsite discovery and solutions presentations.

Requirements

Basic Requirements:

  • 5+ years of enterprise consulting experience, including implementation experience with one or more common enterprise software solutions (e.g. CRM, ERP), filling positions of increasing responsibility and management of more junior resources.
  • 5+ years experience as a Functional Architect, Business Analyst or Consultant with demonstrated leadership driving an organizational transformation in a matrix organization.
  • Exposure to key areas of enterprise architecture, including integration technologies, single sign on, and master data management.
  • Experience with Agile and Waterfall implementation methodologies.
  • Ability to work independently and be a self-starter. Proven results leading and overseeing customer and/or partner success stories in the following domains: front- and back-end solution architecture, development and release management strategies, change management, and direct leadership in designing solutions that meet or exceed customer needs.
  • Proven ability to analyze, design, and optimize business processes via technology and integration.
  • Guiding customers and colleagues in rationalizing and deploying emerging technologies that drive increased business value.
  • Polished speaker with the ability to evangelize best practices at various levels within a large organization.
  • A particular desire to continually study new technologies and functionality, as well as be involved in projects that push the capabilities of existing technologies.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Able to effectively develop materials that are appropriate for the audience.
  • Strong presentation skills. Able to effectively present and defend point of view to a variety of audiences.
  • US Citizenship
  • Travel regularly (average of 50%), but may be higher or lower based on the client engagement.
Preferred Requirements:
  • Salesforce.com certifications (Admin, Consultant, Developer)
  • Experience with enterprise integration / ETL tools
  • 3+ years of direct experience with Salesforce.com configuration and custom development

Salesforce Technical Architect Role Summary As a Salesforce Technical Architect you are responsible for successfully designing and managing the integration of salesforce.com with other systems and custom extensions to the salesforce product. You are a subject matter expert within the firm and contribute to firm-wide enablement, best practices and repeatable processes. You will be responsible for owning and delivering complex cloud based solutions using technologies such as SFDC, Heroku and J2EE. The Technical Architect will be a subject matter expert (SME) in salesforce integration and extension, features, designing solutions, using the salesforce.com API, APEX, Visualforce and other tools that extend the product. You will work closely with Project Managers,Solution Architect and clients to architect technology solutions needed to support key customer business processes. Through best-practice methodologies; you will be responsible for the detailed design of Salesforce related projects from inception through production support. You will be responsible for ensuring that the system accurately meets the defined expectations of the business unit, ensuring that proper testing is implemented and performance requirements are closely monitored by working with the development teams. Responsibilities * Team Lead for the salesforce integration and development activities * Provide timeline and resource management for the integration and development * Ensure design is architected correct and meets salesforce.com best practices * Authors the technical design specifications * Ability to define the system landscape, to identify gaps between current and desired end-states, and deliver a CRM solution. * Experience with Release Management, Source Control, and Deployment concepts and technologies such as ANT, SFDC Metadata API, Jenkins, SVN * Manage overall development, validation, and deployment plans * Provide best practices guidance to team developers and Client technical team * Coordinate deployment activities Qualifications * Bachelor's degree in CS, IS or equivalent professional experience * 6+ years of enterprise consulting experience * 8+ years software development experience * 5+ years experience implementing Salesforce and ERP software solutions (Oracle ERP, Netsuite, Peoplesoft, SugarCRM, Microsoft Dynamics, SAP) with increasing complexity and responsibility * 5+ years hands on experience delivering salesforce software solutions * Understanding of common design patterns with specific boundary systems (i.e. CMS, ERP, HRIS, DWH/DM) * 4+ years experience using Enterprise Integration tools such as ESBs and/or ETL tools * Ideal candidate will have strong Mulesoft experience * Working knowledge of security concepts such as single sign on and data security * Expertise in both Waterfall and Agile software implementation methodologies * Thorough understanding of both cloud and enterprise application integration concepts & best practices * Extensive experience with databases, data extraction, and associated load tools (Oracle, On-Premise SQL, Talend, Jitterbit, Scribe, Informatica, Cast Iron) * Proven ability to analyze, design, and optimize business processes via technology and integration * Leadership in guiding customers and colleagues in rationalizing and deploying emerging technology for business use cases * Excellent communication and presentation skills for a variety of audiences and situations * Team player with strong listening skills, interpersonal skills and self-awareness * Detail and quality oriented with the desire and ability to rapidly learn and implement new concepts, business models, and technologies * Experience integrating Web Services (Scribe, SOAP, REST, JSON) desired * Salesforce.com Advanced Developer Certification desired * iOS or Android Mobile development experience desired * Provide enablement and development direction to offshore and onshore development/configuration resources. * Manage the integration of Salesforce integrations with other systems using middleware technologies. * Openness to travel and work at client sites as necessary.
