Analyst has expert level knowledge, skills and abilities in Salesforce technologies and assists with planning and participating in integration efforts, implementation, supporting and maintaining Salesforce Platform solutions. Worker should possess expert knowledge of Salesforce Platform, including Collaborative, Mobile and Cloud options.

Skills/Experience

  • Experience developing, planning and configuring sales and service technology solutions according to design; pro-actively assessing business needs of program to plan, implement and deploy technology solutions to address automation needs

  • Experience providing application programming/systems development and support in Salesforce Platform environment; experience planning and executing service component function test validations

  • Experience providing Salesforce Platform product and procurement consultations, producing technical documentation, and providing knowledge transfer

  • Experience with analysis, integration, support and administration of Salesforce Platform tools, including Collaborative, Mobile and Cloud options

  • Ability to identify implementation risks and analyze potential impact on the achievement of scheduled objectives

  • Skill in planning and organizing work to meet goals and complete multiple assignments without compromising accuracy

  • Skill in articulate and effective oral and written communication and consensus building

  • Skill in exercising sound judgment and effective decision making

  • Ability to convey complex and highly-technical information to a diverse audience; ability to work cooperatively with technical teams and business customers in a professional office environment; ability to provide excellent customer service.

Work involves coordinating the planning and analyzing user requirements and procedures; working with users to improve existing systems. Prepares and defines goals of new implementations and upgrades. Designs, modifies and implements new or revised systems to serve new purposes or improve workflow. May assign, and/or supervise the work of others. May be required to work with third party service providers within the Texas Data Center Services contract, agency technical teams and stakeholders to understand and analyze business processes requirements; do research to determine interface requirements; work on test case preparation from user requirements, do gap analysis between current environment and new solution; and various other implementation tasks. Works under limited supervision, with considerable latitude for the use of initiative and independent judgment. Performs additional duties as assigned. Complies with all Agency, Division and Branch rules, regulations and procedures. JOB POSTING: 19-00188 Qualification Guidelines MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Education: * Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree. Experience: * Five years of technology-related analyst experience. Licensure: * If driving is required, applicant must possess a valid State driver's license. ACCEPTABLE SUBSTITUTIONS: Education: * One additional year of the required experience may substitute for 30 hours of the required education, with a maximum substitution of 120 semester hours. PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS: Education: * Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree and major coursework in management and/or computer applications information systems. Experience: * Experience working in an information technology environment performing analysis, requirements gathering and programming; * Experience in leading Operations (for example: network, infrastructure, security, upgrades) technology projects; * Experience leading a project team(s) to implement information technology solutions. Licensure: * Project Management Professional (PMP) certified. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities * Knowledge of information technology application, theory, and management specializing in the areas of systems analysis; * Knowledge of the principles and practices of state government; * Knowledge of the agency's and division strategic plan; * Knowledge of the legislative requirements related to Information Technology services; * Knowledge of development, installation, maintenance and programming of custom software; * Knowledge of relational databases; * Knowledge of the software development lifecycle; * Knowledge and understanding of state government procurement processes; * Knowledge of technology contract development, evaluation and management; * Knowledge of project management concepts, methods, and the production of all documentation associated with the System Development Life Cycle (SDLC); * Skill in using MS Word, Excel and Outlook; * Skill in effective verbal and written communication; * Skill in writing and evaluating analyses, documentation, proposals, plans, policies, procedures, standards and reports; * Skill in the analysis and design of relational database applications; * Skill in entity relationship diagramming, table normalization, database schema development and data migration for small to large relational databases; * Skill in software testing processes; * Skill in analyzing and interpreting technical information, including regulations, policies, and automation system documentation/specification; * Ability to communicate effectively with and gain support from stakeholders, management, functional experts and technical personnel; * Ability to assist with development of Request for Offer or Proposals documents, including service level agreements (SLA) and evaluation plan requirements; * Ability working on process improvement projects that incorporated technology as part of the solution; * Ability to work independently with little or no supervision; * Ability to work as a member of a team; * Ability to understand the relationship between technical requirements and business processes and the interfaces required with existing software applications and hardware systems; * Ability to design and review RFI's and RFP's for hardware, software, or services; * Ability to prepare cost-benefit and return-on-investment analyses to aid in decisions on system implementation; * Ability to conduct work activities in accordance with TPWD safety program. Additional Information WORKING CONDITIONS: * Required to work from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m., Monday through Friday; * Required to work overtime as necessary; * May be required to operate a State vehicle; * Required to travel 5% with possible overnight stays; * Non-smoking environment in State buildings and vehicles.
