POSITION SUMMARY

USG is seeking an experienced Salesforce Product Owner to join our dynamic team and play a pivotal role in driving our Customer Experience strategy from a technology and data standpoint, lead the Salesforce team and establish and maintain cross-functional governance to constantly evolve the roadmap. Within this role, providing guidance on best practice and instilling common standards, you will be responsible for leading the development and optimization of our Salesforce platform to drive customer intimacy, the productivity of the commercial teams and enable USG to maximize value.

You will always work cross-functionally, including Sales, Service, Marketing, and IT, to connect company processes making Salesforce the key interaction platform which is to evolve in a user-centric manner enabling our business objectives.

The ideal candidate will have a customer-centric mentality, willing to go the extra mile for achieving the results for USG, and will break down all barriers to ensure success for the program. You will bring outstanding people leadership, architectural/technical guidance, product expertise, innovation, and knowledge capital to USG. Finally, you will scale expertise by creating relationships across the enterprise, making intentional investments in the areas that benefit our customers the most.

USG is evolving its plan on customer experience and this role is critical for translating this objective in a business process and technology roadmap. We will require a seasoned professional that can support the evolution of goals and objectives, along with potential ambiguity as the role is evolved based on the individual's experience and skillset.

Minimal travel may be required.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Includes the following and performs additional responsibilities as assigned.

  • Leadership:

  • Manage business Salesforce team, responsible for hiring, coaching, training and development of department personnel.

  • Roadmap Development and Management: Based on the business objectives, create and maintain a strategic roadmap for Salesforce enhancements, ensuring it aligns with business priorities and delivers maximum value across all segment functions.

  • Partner with C-level, Sales, Service and Marketing and the business community to develop a holistic CRM strategy and drive the step-by-step implementation of the business plan.

  • Product Ownership and Governance: Collaborate with stakeholders to develop business requirements, build effective processes to assure business objectives are met or exceeded but the integrity of the platform and technology is maintained. You lead the Salesforce governance, roadmap and alignment process with focus on USG's strategy, diligent planning, attention to detail, stakeholder-adjusted communication, and efficient decision making.

  • Data Strategy and Integrity: You translate the strategy into requirements for process design and implementation to enable data integrity and state of the art analytics processes.

  • Improve current data management approach.

  • Works closely with data management, infrastructure and development groups to ensure required data and systems are in place to meet the enterprise's CRM needs.

  • Oversee data integrity and data management within Salesforce.

  • Working to ensure accurate and reliable data for reporting and analytics.

KEY QUALIFICATIONS:

Education

  • Bachelor's degree required. Degree in technical discipline such as Computer Science, Mathematics, or Engineering preferred.

Required Skills

  • Proven 5-10 years experience as a leading Salesforce Product Owner or a similar role with responsibility for enterprise-wise platform ownership in the B2B industry.

  • Used to C-level attention, highly skilled in large program management and proven track record of delivering complex implementations.

  • Previous roles in Sales and Marketing team leadership or career path in IT complement the well-rounded professional experience.

  • Strategic thinker and problem solver: Strong business analysis skills with the ability to identify key gaps in process, investigate themes or issues, and strategically recommend solutions to problems with often limited information.

  • Well-versed leader in different leadership settings of direct and functional reporting lines guiding large teams to success and ability to influence across the wider organization.

  • On top of Salesforce technology roadmap and expert in establishing and maintaining best practices throughout the life cycle of a platform.

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills; adjusting to various departments and levels within the organization.

  • Proficiency in agile methodologies.

  • Highly organized managing to meeting results in budget and promised time.

  • Ability to work with sensitive/confidential information. Demonstrated high level of integrity and ethics.

Preferred Skills

  • Certified Salesforce Administrator and/or Salesforce Product Owner certification is a plus.

  • Experience in the Manufacturing/Construction industry.

  • Experience with Oracle CRM solutions.

  • Prior consulting experience.

Additional Information:

Rate of pay may be adjusted based on the qualifications and experience of the candidate.
