This is an individual contributor position responsible for the development and maintenance of USP's Salesforce platform. The incumbent partners with solution architects, business analysts, business stakeholders and members of the development team to deliver solutions to internal client requirements.
Roles and Responsibilities:
Develops custom solutions within the Salesforce platform to support critical business functions and meet project objectives and client requirements
Exhibits effective communication with project managers, business teams and other developers on projects to ensure effective collaboration throughout all phases of development, testing and deployment
Implement enterprise-level salesforce.com projects using both waterfall and agile software development methodologies throughout the whole left cycle with repeated and demonstrable success
Works with salesforce product suite including sales, service, and marketing clouds, as well as the force.com platform to develop solutions to internal client requirements
Provides system administration support of internal and customer-facing Salesforce environment, especially related to customized applications, user permissions, security settings, custom objects, and automations
Customizes salesforce applications utilizing Apex, Lightning, Visualforce, SOQL, SOSL, Web Services, Sales Cloud, Services Cloud, Pardot
Automates business application process using Salesforce automation tools, such as Process Builder, Workflows, Formulas, Flows, Validation rules and etc.
Transforms and integrates data using SOAP and REST API
Develops strategic accelerators on the force.com platform
Conducts unit-testing and defect resolution
Proactively identifies areas of improvement and functional gaps in Salesforce applications
Creates and maintains technical documentation including process documentation, naming and commenting conventions and Salesforce policies/procedures
Evaluates, installs and administers AppExchange applications
Collaborates with technical design and documentation
Provides post-production support
Executes full lifecycle deployments from development to sandbox production
Bachelor's degree required in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field, or equivalent combination of education and experience
4 years development experience with Salesforce
6 years overall developer experience
Salesforce Developer I & II, Salesforce App Builder, and/or Salesforce Administrator Certification
Good oral communication, presenting, meeting facilitation, negotiation, decision making, and problem-solving skills
Ability to reasonably estimate the time for tasks and then meet deadlines set by those estimates; ability to quickly and effectively prioritize multiple requests
Strong time management skills and attention to details required
Ability to multi-task and prioritize tasks with minimum supervision
Functional and technical understanding of SaaS, PaaS, IaaS and other cloud computing services
