General Duties and Responsibilities:

The Salesforce Developer develops and enhances Salesforce Sales Cloud applications that assist users to streamline tasks and optimize the collection of key business data. This position is responsible for working with Subject Matter Experts throughout the organization to define, research and develop tools, reports and dashboards. The Developer is responsible for building, maintaining and continually improving the Salesforce environment.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with department managers and directors to identify and define Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to help track information that support departmental goals.

  • Identify operational processes to design and implement workflows and Salesforce interactive objects and applications.

  • Develop and maintain technical documentation and software versioning.

  • Conduct testing and troubleshooting to improve existing Salesforce applications.

  • Apply an understanding of best practices to design, develop and implement Salesforce solutions.

  • Develop strategies to integrate legacy systems with the goal of streamlining information, increasing accuracy, and improving efficiency.

  • Act as liaison between various operational departments and accounting to assure all reporting requests are tailored to fulfill both day-to-day and reporting requirements.

  • Develop specifications and standards for data entry, validation and presentation.

Minimum Training and Experience:

  • Salesforce development with 3-10 years' Sales Cloud experience and demonstrated knowledge of the following:

  • Salesforce Custom Objects

  • Process Builder

  • APEX classes

  • APEX triggers

  • Visual Force page development

  • REST, SOAP, API processing

  • Web Services integration

  • Strong understanding of Roles, Profiles as it relates to custom Object integration

  • Workflow processing

  • Validation rules

  • Email generation

Experience in the following software is a plus:

  • SharePoint and SharePoint Designer
  • SQL
  • SOQL
  • Nintex Forms and Workflows

The Salesforce Developer is a hands-on professional responsible for systems analysis, design, architecture, development, testing, implementation, documentation, and support of technical solutions within Salesforce and ancillary business applications. The primary focus for this role will involve taking business and functional requirements from concept and development through to deployment to the production environment. The ideal candidate has strong experience working within an agile development environment and experience in standard project methodologies. The Salesforce Developer collaborates with business analysts and business leads to design and develop business solutions supporting the finance, operations, sales, customer service, call center, and construction business processes. Responsibilities and duties * Understand user stories and build technical requirements from which to develop * Have excellent communication skills both within the agile teams and to business partners * Participate in the daily scrum meetings, sprint planning, sprint demonstrations and retrospective meetings for their scrum team(s) * Maintain a clear history of code through the use of source control tools * Building scalable solutions and 'smart' code that can be reused in the future * Ability to manage and deliver on multiple projects simultaneously within tight deadlines * Implement security measures in accordance with current best practices * Configure and maintain user security permissions in compliance with organizational needs * Ensure quality of deliverables using development testing methods, code reviews and user acceptance testing * Strong Relationship management and interpersonal skills are required * Support the first and second line support teams to resolve challenging escalated issues * Knowledge and exposure to cloud integration concepts & fundamentals. * Ability to adapt quickly new technologies and create proof of concept(POC) solutions * Make recommendations for enhancements and modifications to improve system performance, efficiency, internal business processes, and reporting * Maintains professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops; reviewing professional publications; establishing personal networks; benchmarking current practices; participating in professional societies.
