Frontier Communications is seeking a Salesforce Developer for the Salesforce application, providing maintenance, enhancements and additional functionality to SFDC to support Call Center and Sales organizations. This role will work closely with the business to identify how the Salesforce solution can be enhanced to offer increased functionality to meet business requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Work together with the business owner to plan and execute projects, ensure that teams have appropriate product and technical specifications, direction, and resources to deliver products effectively by establishing realistic estimates for timelines while ensuring that projects remain on target to meet deadlines

  • Work closely with the Product Owner, Sales, and Business Analysts, to understand the system's functional and non-functional requirements

  • Collaborate with the Manager, Product Management in defining the Product Vision

  • Demonstrate abilities to our clients with the deployment of software upgrades, enhancements and fixes that are coordinated based on release schedules

  • Provide a software development plan that meets the future needs of our clients and markets, based on the current technologies

  • Evolve the existing software system applications and architecture in various areas as needed

  • Work with Manager to initiate and implement process improvement efforts

General Requirements

  • 3+ years' experience in an Information Services position developing large-scale applications

  • 3+ years of administrative and development experience utilizing the SalesForce.com platform

  • Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication skills

  • 2+ years development experience in HTML, Java, Apex, Visual Force, Flex and SQL/SOQL

  • Working knowledge of WS, JSF, MVC model and J2EE/JEE paradigm

  • Confidence and ability to interact with individuals at all levels of the organization

  • Must demonstrate a sense of urgency in the resolution of customer, business and employee issues.

  • Must be trustworthy and confidential

  • Handle multiple projects and deadlines effectively and efficiently

  • Experience with Vendor supported software packages

  • 3+ years (current or past) of hands-on IT development experience

  • Responsibilities may require evening and weekend work in response to needs of the systems being supported

  • Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer information systems, or related study

  • Salesforce or SFDC certifications are preferred or nice to have.

The Director of Information Technology provides the vision and leadership for designing, developing and implementing IT initiatives that create customer and/or business value. The Director must ensure our IT infrastructure is reliable, secure, cost efficient, and strategically sound, reflecting business needs and best practice in creating value for the county and our customers. The work includes directing, developing, planning, organizing, and staffing to provide and support information technology systems and services for Volusia County government. The omission of specific duties does not exclude them from the position.) * Directs the overall activities of management information systems and services to include the operation of computer systems, networks, information security, database integrity, applications development and maintenance, radio system infrastructure, and switchboard operations. * Oversees information technology personnel administration, including selection, training, professional development, performance evaluation, discipline, and retention. * Ensures staff possess right blend of technical, business, and interpersonal skills to perform assigned responsibilities. * Directs the development and management of the information systems budget, determines multi-year funding requirements, and monitors and controls the status of funds for capital and expense items. * Coordinates the proper mix of hardware, software, and personnel to install information systems in the County. * Reviews new system projects to insure a County wide integrated information system concept. * Directs strategic planning efforts among application services, technical services, and communications services activities to provide for the best use of computing technology. * Directs feasibility studies for proposed automated information systems, including the research and evaluation of alternatives for the enhancement or re-engineering of existing systems. * Oversees hardware and software contract administration, including negotiation of contract provisions, interfacing with legal and purchasing departments, and managing contract terms. * Develops policies and procedures, technical standards and methods, and priorities. * Ensures integrity of County data and systems through security methods, procedures, and access management. * Acts as a technical consultant to county administration and departments. * Reports to senior management on information systems, plans, projects, performance, and related matters. * Provides support to information system users through hardware/software selections, implementation, and training. * Promotes an integrated County wide information system concept. * Provides direction for standardization of software, hardware, and communications network components. * Represents the County when dealing with vendors for hardware, software, and consulting services when appropriate. * Collaborates with customers, vendors, consultants, and senior management to define service levels and to promote cooperation and partnerships. * Works with other local, State, and Federal agencies to plan for and to establish parameters for data sharing and implementation of joint technology initiatives. * Manages the division's production of materials for county council briefings and approvals. * Maintains knowledge and awareness of current technological developments in the fields associated with county business technology. * Performs related work as required. * Attends work on a regular and consistent basis. * Must adhere to Federal, State, County and Local ordinances. * Responds to emergency situations. * Performs other duties as assigned.
