Considering our rapid growth and future goals, the IT team at Renters Warehouse is looking for a Salesforce Developer to join their group!


Full-time | Monday - Friday | 40 hours per week

As the Salesforce Developer, you will work with business partners to realize the full capability of the Salesforce platform. You'll be responsible for design and development of customizations, extensions, configurations, and integrations. The Salesforce Developer will oversee the design, development, testing and change management. Drive highly visible Salesforce initiatives across the organization including building applications on the platform and supporting integrations with Salesforce.

Job Responsibilities

  • Defines technical specification, partners with team members and subject matter experts, and provides guidance on Salesforce-related projects to ensure compliance with development standards and best practices, as well as alignment with business needs and priorities.

  • Advises on and supports the full development life cycle, including analysis, design, development, deployment, and post-deployment, following Agile methodology.

  • Designs, develops, tests, documents, and deploys high quality business solutions on the Salesforce platform based on industry best practices as well as business needs.

  • Collaborates with others (e.g., technical staff, business analysts, thirty party/vendors, subject matter experts) to ensure on time and accurate delivery of complete work products.

  • Develops, assembles, and maintains a library of model documents, templates, best practices, and other re-usable knowledge assets.

  • Collaborates with technical resources, subject matter experts, and stakeholders regarding solutions, status, technical issues, scalability, and priorities.

  • Researches integration issues and works closely with Operations and development team to reach resolution in a timely and accurate manner or escalate as appropriate.

  • Safeguard all customer, employee and company proprietary and personal information ensuring customer and employee data is always kept confidential.


Must Have

  • Bachelor's degree in computer technology or related field

  • 3+ years as a developer developing and designing applications using Apex, Visualforce and Lightning Components

  • Development in Sales and Service clouds

  • In-depth understanding of the architecture, capabilities and constraints of the Salesforce application coupled with good understanding of business processes

  • Experience in building complex, scalable, and high-performance software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers

  • Working in a cross-functional environment

Nice to have

  • Community and Market clouds experience

  • Accounting Seed or Accounting Experience

  • MBA

  • Admin (ADM201 and ADM211) certified

  • Sales Cloud, Service Cloud and Developer certifications preferred

  • Previous experience working in a SCRUM or agile environment preferred

  • Property Management or Real Estate experience

Technical Skills: * 7+ years of experience implementing and supporting large scale, technically complex solutions on Salesforce and associated ecosystem * 1+ year of experience setting up a build process in Salesforce using technologies like SFDX, GitLab, Jenkins, Metadata APIs * 1+ year of experience integrating the Salesforce platform with internal and external systems * 1+ year of experience with Lightning development, ideally as part of a Lightning migration * A deep understanding of the overall Salesforce ecosystem * Confidence in debugging and working with complex implementations involving features like asynchronous processing on Salesforce * A programming background using one or more of the languages such as APEX, Visualforce, Javascript, Typescript, Python etc. * Good knowledge of enterprise integration architectures such as SOA, RESTful, ETL * A deep understanding of software testing with knowledge on building test plans and executing them in unit, functional and user acceptance test cycles Functional Skills: * A deep understanding on B2B sales and marketing processes * Strong problem solving, critical thinking, and analytical skills to set up and interpret logic, data tables, and rule relationships * A desire to learn and apply new technologies * An ability to self-train quickly and pick up new skills as necessary * A good understanding of cloud offerings market space concepts * Exemplary interpersonal skills Preferred knowledge and experience: These are a huge plus. * A deep understanding of architectural principles for cloud-based platforms such as SaaS, PaaS, IaaS, multi-tenancy, multi-tiered infrastructure and application servers * Salesforce Certifications * Agile Certifications Education: Got it!
