Position Overview

The Salesforce Business Analyst will be an individual contributor within a growing, multi-cloud Salesforce support team with an ever growing pipeline of projects. The ideal candidate will have the ability to wear multiple hats - Project Management, Business/Data Analyst, Quality Assurance, and/or Technical Writer. The BA should have the ability to multitask and keep current on new features of Salesforce.com to create recommendations for best practices and utilization of the CRM system. He/she should also have a high level of comfort with relational databases, data modeling, SQL queries and translating data analysis into recommendations and solutions.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct in-depth data analysis (structure, content and flow) from multiple source systems to help support Salesforce design and integration decisions. Work with appropriate Solutions Architect on integration to other systems to analyze design alternatives, gain alignment, and execute accordingly

  • Preparation of functional software specifications that reflect an in-depth understanding of the business and end-user requirements while also considering IT standards and technical direction

  • Translating functional request from customers (both internal and external) into documented, actionable deliverables for software development team supporting Salesforce functionality.

  • Support the delivery of seamless integration into the production environment, including performing necessary change management activities

  • Creating, executing, and maintaining test plans. Creating and maintaining functional specifications as scope changes throughout the development cycle.

  • Ongoing functional production support for Salesforce, across multiple Clouds (Service, Sales, Marketing, and Community) as needed.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree preferred. Salesforce Administrator certification a plus.

  • Minimum 3 years' experience with Salesforce.com platform, specifically with Service, Sales, Marketing and/or Community Cloud. Minimum 3 years' experience with data analysis, project management and/or system integration support.

  • Proven experience with relational databases, data modeling and SQL queries. Salesforce certification(s) a plus. PMP certification a plus. Ability to enhance, implement, and monitor adherence to SDLC and project management disciplines.

  • Positive interaction with all levels of the organization. Ability to assess risk, cost, schedule, and resource tradeoffs when considering alternate solutions. Must have a high sense of urgency, strong sense of customer focus and the ability to work autonomously.

  • Some night and weekend work to support projects/go-live activity may sporadically be required

Responsibilities * Provide guidance on best practices, technical architecture, cross-cloud solutions, and Salesforce platform education * Leads evaluation of platform components to determine conformance with technical standards and appropriate fit with business needs * Articulate Salesforce platform capabilities (POCs, demos, training, etc.) * Lead key discussions and considerations around change programs from a technical perspective * Contribute to large scale Salesforce implementation/enhancement projects through strategic planning, technical expertise and vendor management * Responds to escalated issues from admin/dev team and/or requests for system additions/changes and creates thorough plans to address * Consults on integration and conversion activities. Recommends redesign or redevelopment. Selects partner technologies to provide long-term compatibility and flexibility. Qualifications * Bachelor's Degree preferred. Salesforce Architect or Consulting Certification(s) preferred * Minimum 5 years' experience with Salesforce.com platform, specifically with Service and Community Cloud. Marketing and/or Sales Cloud a plus. Minimum 5 years' experience with data analysis, project management and/or system integration support. * Strong knowledge of Salesforce API and other integration technologies and processes. Demonstrated knowledge of Telephony, Chat, Mobile, Web, and Social as customer service channels preferred. Proficient in cross-cloud capabilities and constraints of the CRM application coupled with a good understanding around business processes.
