Overview

Gallagher is engaged in a comprehensive refresh and re-implementation of Salesforce and is seeking a Salesforce Architect to lead the transformation. In this role, you will understand the Gallagher business environment and how Salesforce is being used to align business processes to the force.com platform. Responsibilities include to architect, design, develop, and support new and existing solutions on the Gallagher Salesforce environments.

You will act as a Salesforce platform expert and guide Gallagher to apply best practices and leverage its core capabilities in deploying Lightning based applications. With a broad IT background, you will be comfortable discussing and demonstrating all aspects of the force.com platform including security, integration and declarative/programmatic extensions.

This position can be entirely virtual/remote/work from home and you can sit anywhere in the US.

How you'll make an impact

  • Architect, design, develop, test, document, deploy, and maintain high quality solutions on the Salesforce.com platform.

  • Define data models, relationships, and data structures that support efficient and accurate reporting and analytics.

  • Document system architecture, design decisions, configuration, and customizations to ensure knowledge sharing and future maintenance.

  • Integration: Architect and implement integrations between Salesforce and other systems using APIs, middleware, and third-party tools to ensure seamless data flow and process automation using appropriate integration patterns.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions within the Salesforce ecosystem.

  • Collaboration: Work closely with business analysts, developers, administrators, and other stakeholders to ensure a cohesive implementation and smooth project delivery and for technical leadership.

  • Collaborate with the Salesforce Systems Administrator on all projects to determine the optimal technical solutions leveraging the Salesforce platform.

  • Security and Compliance: Implement security measures and controls to ensure data integrity and compliance with industry standards and regulations.

  • Governance: Define best practices, guidelines, and standards for development and configuration within the Salesforce ecosystem.

  • Provide insight into AppExchange products and other technologies that may be effectively leveraged for use within AJG

  • Performance Optimization: Identify and address performance bottlenecks, monitor system health, and recommend optimizations for better user experience.

  • Problem Solving: Analyze complex issues, troubleshoot problems, and propose effective solutions to resolve technical challenges.

  • Project Management: Assist in project planning, estimation, and risk assessment, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within scope.

About You

  • 10+ years of IT experience

  • 5+ years as a Salesforce developer/architect in an enterprise-level environment (1500+ users)

  • 5+ years of working knowledge of Visualforce, Apex Code, SOQL, and Web Services API

  • Proven strong experience with Sales Cloud and Service Cloud Administration and development building components in the effort to support core business processes.

  • Demonstrated functional understanding of CRM

  • Experience with the following Salesforce applications: Sales Cloud, Service Cloud, Marketing Cloud, Customer Portal, Answers, Ideas, and Knowledge

  • Advanced understanding of the Salesforce.com data model and how and when to create custom objects, junction objects, and other model items

  • Experience with enterprise application integration with Salesforce

  • Preferred Salesforce Certifications:

  • Salesforce Certified System and Application Architect

  • Salesforce Certified Platform Developer II

  • Excellent communication, analytical, problem solving and organization skills

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks simultaneously

  • Ability to work at a fast pace and cope with conflicting deadlines

  • Proven ability to deliver excellent customer service

  • Dependable, hardworking, professional, self starter, able to work well with cross functional teams
