Sales/Account Management Intern
As a 2019 Sales/Account Management Intern with FIS, you will benefit from on-the-job training and mentoring along with participation in team projects, community service events, social outings and professional development. This is a full-time (40 hrs./week) paid internship that will begin on June 3 and conclude on August 9, 2019.
Interns will receive the opportunity to build professional relationships and enhance their interpersonal skills. An intern should expect to own the following roles and responsibilities: Contribute individually and/or as a team member to support a designated functional area, analyze business processes, and work towards goals and objectives assigned by an experienced manager. Interns will also interact with and support business partners and participate in projects that directly impact business value.
Gain an understanding of financial technology (FinTech) and the FIS solutions that drive the financial services industry
Obtain knowledge and gain exposure to various professional selling roles
Participate in weekly education programs featuring various topics and leaders from across FIS
Participate in professional development reading program on topics such as leadership, managing change and being exceptional in your personal and professional life
Work directly with managers in the FIS sales organization, completing projects and tasks that impact sales efficiency and effectiveness
Learn about and support various stages of the sales process
Participate in meetings and contribute to current sales organization initiatives
Analyze and improve data quality in support of sales campaign and reporting needs
Conduct research and make recommendations to increase sales effectiveness
Develop a final presentation with insights and feedback based on your project work throughout the summer
Applicant must be currently enrolled in collegiate coursework at an accredited university.
Displays good written and oral communication skills.
Demonstrates strong computer skills including a good working knowledge of MS Office.
Additional skills, knowledge, and experience may be required based on the type of functions the incumbent will perform.
Pursuing a bachelor's degree from 4-year accredited university
Rising senior graduating in December 2019 through May 2020
Entry level role. Basic skills with moderate level of proficiency. Generally, performs single-function tasks that tend to be of small to moderate size and scope. Works under close supervision with limited latitude for independent judgment. Consults with senior peers on non-complex projects to learn through experience. Typically, does not require prior related experience.
