Job Description:

This position is responsible for identifying sales force needs that can be addressed with sales training initiatives, and designing, creating, and delivering the training.

  • Work closely with executive and sales leadership, R&D, product managers, marketing, and colleagues in the sales training department to translate strategy and tactics into effective sales execution.

  • Lead market evaluation and targeting activities with product management and marketing for product launches and line extensions to ensure successful field execution.

  • Actively support the needs of the sales team on current products through ongoing needs assessment and the development and delivery of tools and training to support these needs.

  • Coach Territory Managers in their territories on clinical and sales process skills and participate in regional meetings, as requested by the Regional Business Managers.

  • Create and deliver a clinical and sales process onboarding program for all new field-based personnel.

  • Work with Product Management, R&D, field trainers, mentors, clinical specialists, and others as appropriate to develop training content.

  • Take a lead role in the planning and execution of the Global Sales Meeting.

  • Monitor and oversee the curriculum development and execution of field based sales training.

  • Write, review, edit, and deliver sales training modules for internal employees consistent with adult learning principles.

  • Develop new and refine current training curriculum based upon new or enhanced product/technology added to the sales portfolio. Edit training content consistent with the most current data supporting the theory/use of current technology.

  • Ensure performance and training objectives and requirements are met.

  • May perform other duties as assigned

S/he partners with other departments to drive revenue and increase market share through downstream initiatives.
