The Sales Trainer will be responsible for developing and executing training programs that boost the job performance of sales representatives and sales managers across the company. This role involves assessing training needs, designing materials, and conducting training sessions on effective sales techniques, customer relationship management, and product knowledge.

Location: Greensboro, NC | Type: Full-time, Exempt

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct skills gap analysis to identify areas of improvement for sales teams and individuals.

  • Design and Deliver training curriculum and materials that align with the company's sales strategies and objectives.

  • Organize in-person training schedules and courses.

  • Aid in the onboarding process for new sales hires, ensuring they are fully integrated into the team and up to speed with all necessary product knowledge and skills.

  • Collaborate with sales managers and other department heads to develop specific training that meets the needs and goals of different sales teams.

  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of sales training, adjusting programs as needed to ensure they are current, dynamic, and impactful.

  • Stay up to date with current sales trends, developments and best practices within the industry to ensure training is relevant and forward-thinking.

  • Looks for opportunities to foster a positive learning and motivational atmosphere in all training activities.

  • Maintain and develop a library of sales training resources, to include but not limited to: Manuals, multimedia visual aids, reference guides and other educational materials.

  • Evaluate individual performances.

  • Address potential problems and suggest prompt solutions.

  • Participate in decisions for expansion.

  • Suggest new services/products and innovative sales techniques to increase customer satisfaction.

  • Ability to measure and analyze key performance indicators.

Education & Experience:

  • Associate's degree in Automotive Technology or related field preferred.

  • Experience in the diagnostic tool industry.

  • Familiarity with CRM software.

  • Ability to lead and motivate a high-performance sale team.

  • Excellent communication skills.

  • Strong organizational skills with a problem-solving attitude.

  • Availability to travel as needed.

Additional Skills & Eligibility Requirements:

  • Accurately communicate information to our customers, sales teams, and internal departments.

  • Ability to meet deadlines for communicating information to customers, sales teams, and internal departments.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to work with minimal supervision.

  • Strong communication (written and oral) and presentation skills.

  • Ability to interact with various personality types.

  • Self-motivated with the ability to prioritize responsibilities.

  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with quickly changing priorities.

  • Actively takes part in continuing education and training.

  • Creates and encourages positive team spirit.

  • General proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software applications.

  • Requires a valid driver's license.

  • Requires a valid passport.

  • Occasional Travel to Sales professionals locations Nationwide and within Canada.

Physical Requirements:

  • Basic motor skills and manual dexterity for extensive computer usage are required.

  • Sitting for extended periods of time is required.

  • Talking, hearing and close vision abilities are required.

  • Ability to occasionally lift 50 pounds.
