As a Sales Trainee, you will learn the electrical distribution business and Graybar's sales process through a mix of formal training sessions and hands-on learning. Our Sales Trainees are exposed to all areas of our business and are given the opportunity to receive specialized training and are provided a great overview of our industry before transitioning into a sales role.

In this role you will:

  • Learn Graybar's sales and distribution process

  • Develop product knowledge of electrical, communications and security equipment

  • Rotate through different areas of the business: sales, logistics, customer service, transactional and project processes

What you bring to the table:

  • Can work independently and within a team

  • Highly effective interpersonal and communication skills

  • 1 years' related experience or equivalent education required

  • Four-year degree preferred

Digital & Automated Investing (DAI) Financial Relationship Advisors help our mass market clients succeed financially by providing sound financial advice and recommending appropriate investment products, while providing a consistently exceptional client experience. Trainees must pass the Series 7 and Series 66 exams, complete online training, participate in classroom training, pass compliance exams on products and suitability, and complete all activity requirements of the Functional Job Training program. After this full-time structured Functional Job Training program has been successfully completed, trainees will become a Digital Financial Relationship Advisor with continued coaching and support from Managers, Coaches, and a Regional Supervision team. Required Qualifications * Successfully completed FINRA Series 7 and 66 (or 63 and 65) exams to qualify for immediate registration (or FINRA recognized equivalents) * 6+ months of sales experience, customer service experience, or a combination of both Desired Qualifications * Basic Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) skills * Knowledge and understanding of banking or financial services industry * Experience developing and cultivating professional relationships * Ability to make timely and independent judgment decisions while working in a fast-paced, results-driven environment * Good verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills * Solid organizational, multi tasking, and prioritizing skills Job Expectations * Obtaining and/or maintaining appropriate Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA) license(s) is required for ongoing employment in this position. In addition state registration, specific product licenses or SAFE licensing may apply. Additional requirements include meeting enhanced financial fitness and criminal background standards.
