The Impact You Will Have:
Seeking an experienced tax manager to oversee the sales and use tax function for the Company. This person will be responsible for all aspects of the sales and use tax department, from tax decision making to compliance as well as audits for all legal entities under the TwentyEighty corporate umbrella. It also requires oversight of tax accounts reconciliation with general ledger accounts on a monthly basis. This position will be responsible for investigating and analyzing tax payments fluctuation, teaming up with compliance service providers and responding to internal and external inquiries regarding tax compliance issues.
A Day in the Life:
Deliver timely and accurate tax advice to business units
Prepare and/or oversee the preparation of Sales and Use tax and GST declarations and their tax filing
Prepare monthly reconciliation of transaction tax general ledger accounts
Review vendor invoices to ensure proper Sales and Use tax and GST positions
Support all business units and clients with answers to technical tax questions, performing tax research when needed
Collaborate, coordinate and support business units with tax guidance for new products on an ongoing basis
Manage tax audits and inquiries from tax authorities
Collaborate with internal business resources and external tax advisers
Manage third party indirect tax relationships, including indirect tax compliance providers and consultants
What You'll Need:
Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance with CPA or CMI Preferred
5+ years of experience with Indirect Taxes (sales tax, use tax, excise tax, gross receipts tax, B&O tax and Canadian GST/ HST/ PST/ QST)
OneSource or Vertex experience required
NetSuite experience a plus
Excellent Excel skills preferably including Pivot Tables and VLookup
Experience with system implementations a plus
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong organizational skills; deadline driven
Ability to prioritize and manage time efficiently
