A little about the job:

  • Assist in preparation of sales trainings, meetings, and presentations
  • Help maintain integrity of our environment
  • Update Sales Representatives and Managers on their KPIs through regular reporting
  • Resolve problems by investigating historical data and maintaining knowledge of team initiatives
  • Act as the liaison between Sales Representatives and Managers with other departments including Customer Success, Marketing, Business Operations, and Product
  • Accomplish departmental and organizational goals by learning new skills and responsibilities as needed

  • Highly organized and precise
  • Comfortable with data entry and analytical reporting
  • Proven written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient with and Microsoft Excel
  • Ability to work independently with a strong attention to detail but also collaborate within a group as needed
  • College degree or comparable work experience required
  • Experience with an inside sales organization in a case handling role preferred

The Sales Support Partner (SSP) is a sales support position, responsible for assisting in the development of profitable revenue from selected career colleges within an assigned territory. The support position will work collaboratively with Cengage business units, sales management and primarily the field Strategic Account Managers (SAMs) to maintain relationships with existing customers, train customers on existing teaching and learning solutions as they are adopted (or coordinate training efforts) to support the sales process, as well as several other key administrative activities such as: systems updating, account maintenance, order processing/review, billing reviews, contract alignments, and site license monitoring. This position will require strong communication and interpersonal skills. What You'll Do Here: This position exists to plan, organize and support selling strategies defined by the SAM within an assigned sales territory, in order to assist the Strategic Account Manager in achieving his or her established sales targets and goals, including digital material growth. The Sales Support Partner will maintain existing customer relationships and provide high level support on all Cengage products (all bookbags), contract and billing management, as well as marketing updates and any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by management or their SAM as needed. * Plan, organize, and prioritize sales support activities to help SAMs achieve established sales targets within the defined territory. * Identify opportunities for Cengage content through planning and systems updating (comparing to course catalogs, booklists, schedules, websites, etc.), for any format we offer * Maintain, and revise territory plans, utilizing sales database tools, with the guidance of the SAM * Maintain installed business relationships: provide updates on content, digital platform releases, quarterly reviews (as requested by customer), support interactions, faculty training needs for digital solutions, and implementation activities (setting up training appointments between customer and digital trainer, completing forms for adoptions internally, etc.). * Create sales campaigns, collaborating with SAM, for specified accounts or customers groups in territory as needed * Develop itineraries and effectively coordinate with internal and external contacts to help SAM achieve sales objectives * Create SSO accounts for customers when needed * Manage booklists and ISBN updates, product updates (sunsets, releases, new editions), matching of content to customers' needs, including course mapping projects, account research, etc. * Tracking and creation of tech tickets and corresponding updates to customer * Use clear, concise and professional communication to create lasting relationships with key instructors across assigned territories * Take notes on key stakeholder calls and share out with direct team as well as management * Create and manage course pages for accounts, showcasing our training resources as well as adding any pertinent information around each adoption * Manage existing site licenses to ensure they are extended, as needed, prior to the existing site license expiring and in alignment with current contract Skills You Will Need Here: Required: * Bachelor's or associate degree from an accredited university or college * Demonstrated experience managing business needs and planning * Strong organizational skills with high attention to detail * Distinguished interpersonal skills, coupled with high level collaboration * Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate next steps clearly. * Analyze and record sales data * Maintain strong relationships with established customers Preferred: * Prior publishing and/or B2B account executive support experience * Experience working with digital products/applications * 1 to 2 year's professional work experience TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: No travel required for this position.
