BASIC FUNCTION

Primary Responsibility: The Sales Support Specialist is responsible for developing names of possible prospects for follow-up by outside sales reps. Represents the company with customers by taking/soliciting orders for accessories, supplies, equipment or handling customer questions or complaints over the phone.

Develops a list of prospects from resource material or company records

Calls or receives calls from customers to order supplies, accessories, equipment. Explains advantages of various services or products offered. Tries to upgrade purchases.

Quotes prices, delivery dates and payment terms and tries to persuade customer/prospect to buy, using knowledge of company products and services.

Enters into computer names, address, purchases and comments of customers/prospect solicited.

Completes order form, including delivery date and credit information. Confirms with credit department acceptability of the order.

Procures quoted items from respective vendor.

At the end of shift, prepares summary report of activity as required by company telemarketing operations manual and emails report to corporate telemarketing operations

May be required to contact customers on delayed shipments, shortage of materials, etc. and explain circumstances. May cross-reference prospect lists with actual customer lists to avoid duplication of calling.

EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS

  • High school diploma, some college preferred.

  • Friendly, persuasive telephone manner.

  • Ability to read, write and understand English well.

  • Proficiency in Spanish also a plus.

EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS

A minimum of one (1) to two (2) years inside sales, telemarketing experience or procurement experience.

Additional skills required:

  • High level of network systems and troubleshooting

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot methodically and efficiently.

  • Ability to manage multiple tasks with frequent interruptions, occasionally in urgent situations.

  • Ability to communicate, interact and work effectively and cooperatively with people from diverse ethnic and educational backgrounds.

WORK ENVIRONMENT

  • Work in areas which require attention to detail in a varied environment.

  • General office environment. May spend long hours sitting or standing.

  • Some physical effort is required which may involve bending, reaching, stretching, or similar activities as well as lifting or moving items weighing up to 60 pounds

The Retail Activation Specialist will represent the company to distributor partners in all sales-oriented activities. This person will utilize strategic thinking to create joint business plans, influence internal stakeholders, and solve highly complex customer challenges. Responsibilities: * Develop and maintain an organized list of target accounts in the territory * Increase market share * Sell KDP products (with a focus on Non-Carbonated portfolio) to retailers in coordination with local distributors * Call on target accounts in key markets on an ongoing basis to review in-store priorities * Enhance the business, brand visibility, and availability by gaining new distribution * Work collaboratively with distributors and drive best practices, acting as a coach to, and major contributor/peer leader when working with other distributor vendor representatives * Analyze monthly sales reports to identify opportunities, assess underperforming accounts or potential loss of distribution within the account. * Manage, build and move displays and/or product to establish best location for sales on all company products as necessary in assigned stores * Direct and support consumer and retail activity by working closely with the Field Marketing team * Open new accounts, grow brand distribution & case volume of independent of distributor sales team * Develop and maintain relationships with key retail accounts * Develop and maintain store level relationships with key chain accounts * Audit individual accounts after each visit This is a remote position that can be bases in Albany, LaGrange or Tifton GA Requirements Qualifications/Education/Skills: * Undergraduate degree or equivalent work experience * Beverage/DSD Distributor Management experience or CPG experience (3+ years) * Ability to travel 30% of the time required * Experience with nonalcoholic beverage industry preferred * Retail account management experience preferred * Ability to manage and analyze sales data; trade/business analytics * Ability to work in extremely fast-paced and evolving hyper-growth environment * Experience working successfully within the constraints of a growing business * Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite * Must have valid driver's license and own vehicle to travel and transport promotional merchandise between accounts within assigned territory * Must be able to stand, walk for long periods of time * Must be able to stretch/place product on overhead shelving * Must be able to balance on ladders #IND1 Keurig Dr Pepper Inc. is an equal opportunity employer and affirmatively seeks diversity in its workforce.
