Objective / Purpose
The purpose of the Sales Support (SS) Representative role is to partner with the commercial sales team and provide systems and sales support. Their effectiveness will allow the sales team to focus more on the growth of existing and new customer relationships and less on their day-to-day duties. The Sales Support rep will also provide visibility to the business on marketing initiatives and tracking prospect customer accounts back to active sales by identifying sources of lead generation, nurturing leads where applicable and starting the customer engagement process before handing it off to sales. The Sales Support rep will have a knowledgeable background in all business and sales processes.
Areas of Responsibility / Tasks
Performance must reflect an appropriate level of expertise and achievement of the desired results for the items listed below.
GENERAL
Travel to an approved location may be necessary and determined by the RCD
Reporting of Sales Support duties for assigned Regions
Establish a solid understanding of Business Systems which support the commercial teams and become proficient in how to navigate and use them
Promote the use of commercial systems to the Sales Team and support them in their efforts to house and update relevant data within them.
Assist Sales Reps with Color Match Requests for Ravago Manufacturing (RMA) Products only
IT SUPPORT
Assist Commercial Sales Team with basic system related requests as needed
Create IT Support Tickets for issues that affect Users in the Commercial Sales Team
ACCOUNT MANAGEMENT
Assist with new customer credit applications and document collection
Assist the Sales Reps with creation and maintenance of Usage Records.
House Account Management for supported Regions as defined by the Business
Collaborate with Product Managers to generate Quotes for House Accounts
Manage Opportunities and Sample Requests
Collaborate with the House CAR for Order Management
OPPORTUNITY MANAGMENT
Assist the Sales Reps with the creation of new Opportunities in CRM.
Collaborate with Commercial Sales Team to eliminate stagnant data on Opportunities for supported Regions
Remain in close communication with the Sales Reps and update their Opportunities through each stage of the Sales Pipeline ensuring that Opportunity Management KPIs as defined by the business are met.
Assist the Sales Reps with creation and maintenance of Quotes in CRM.
Perform product research and provide relevant data in Opportunities to aid with quote creation.
Assist Sales Reps with pulling Technical Data Sheets for Quotes or as requested.
Assist the Sales Reps with updating existing Quotes to ensure accurate pricing is available in CRM.
Assist the Sales Reps with creation and maintenance of Sample Requests.
Follow up on Sample Requests and Close Samples appropriately.
Update Write-In Opportunities with an Existing Product prior to closure of Opportunity for supported Regions.
Capture relevant data for all Opportunities Closing as Won or Lost for reporting
TEAM SUPPORT
Provide service and support coverage for team members across regions as needed
Assist with the handoff training and transition of regional assignments from one team member to another
May include other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications / Education / Certifications
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Business or related training equivalent preferred
Sales knowledge preferred
Experience
Minimum of 5 years of relevant work experience preferred
Working knowledge of M365 Office Suite, Customer Management and Reporting tools
End-user knowledge of our ERP System
Relevant Industry experience - preferred
Abilities & Skills
Knowledge of business processes from operational departments and commercial parts of the business
Knowledge of legacy systems (functions and capabilities available to users)
Understanding of departmental expectations for systems being implemented
Knowledge of business structure
Demonstrates strong ability to follow current processes and can apply knowledge to assist with process improvement
Extreme attention to detail and ability to maintain data quality and integrity
Strong ability to analyze and report on data
Ability to work efficiently to successfully complete tasks and projects under set deadlines
Able to work independently, as well as in a team environment
Ability to maintain sensitive information
Superior organizing/documentation skills
