What does a Best Buy Sales Supervisor do?

The Sales Supervisor ensures Best Buy delivers a world-class customer experience as THE destination and authority for technology products and services. You will play a vital role in leading a Best Buy Department to elevate sales performance by sustaining positive customer and employee interactions.

You will support the direction of the Specialty Sales Manager - Connections in implementing sales action plans, monitoring business results, and driving execution of sales strategies.

As the Sales Supervisor you will:

  • Deliver on all aspects of the sales experience within your respective department through all touch points with Best Buy inside and outside of the store (eg. Online, Services, Delivery/Installation, Solutions etc.).

  • Drive positive outcomes of key sales indicators within your department in support of Revenue, Margin, and NOP goals.

  • Integrate partnerships and 3rd party programs specific to sales, training, and customer facing initiatives to ensure seamless experience.

  • Engage customers using selling skills to build complex, connected solutions while maintain a balance of high velocity and high service.

  • Motivate, coach, recognize, and performance manage employees to reach their full potential.

  • Resolve complex customer issues.

What are the Professional Requirements of a Sales Supervisor?

Basic Qualifications

  • 1 year of experience in leadership

  • Previous experience in sales, customer service or related field

  • Ability to work successfully as part of a team

  • Ability to work a flexible schedule inclusive of holidays, nights and weekends

Preferred Qualifications

  • Associate degree or higher in business or related field

  • 1 year consumer electronics experience

  • Prior experience setting retail sales goals

This role is accountable for managing assets movement (transfer, additions, disposal, scrap etc) across all Baker Hughes, a GE company product lines timely and correctly using the tools provided. The position will require significant coordination across the company and will interact with all levels of employees. Essential Responsibilities: * Manages approved capex acquisitions * Creates and monitor a system of controls, procedures, and forms for fixed assets * Makes documented proposals for process and procedure improvements * Calculates asset retirement obligations for those fixed assets to which AROs are applicable. * Investigates potential obsolescence of fixed assets. * Conducts periodic impairment reviews for intangible assets. * Conducts periodic/annual physical counts of fixed assets. * Recommends disposal of fixed assets. * Conducts analyses related to fixed assets as requested by management * Tracks company expenditures for fixed assets in comparison to the capital budget and management authorizations * Manages fixed assets to maximize utilization * Works with other team members to identify improvements * Supports Standardization Projects and Operational Excellence. * Actively seek internal / external benchmarking of process performances * Other duties as assigned. Qualifications/Requirements: * Minimum Bachelor's degree preferably with accounting/finance/engineering qualification * Minimum 5 years working experience * Strong financial background on assets related process, procedures & disclosures * Must possess excellent computer skills - Microsoft applications (i.e. excel, word, PPT, etc) * SAP & Hyperion knowledge is a plus * Exposure to Oil & Gas industry preferred * Familiar with leased asset arrangement Desired Characteristics: * Strong organizational and analytical skills with critical thinking and problem solving abilities * Strong time management skill * Demonstrated ability to drive result and work effectively in a fast paced and changing environment with multiple priorities. * Demonstrates hands-on experience * Strong initiative and a self-starter * Experience in creating end user documentation * Excellent verbal/written communication skills and possess a "can-do" with quality first attitude and take "ownership" over initiatives.
