JOB TITLE: SALES SUPERVISOR

GENERAL SUMMARY:Sales Supervisors act as MODs, leading by example to ensure delivery of an

inspiring and uniquely responsive customer experience through service that is friendly, enthusiastic,

passionate and real. Sales Supervisors demonstrate behaviors that align with the company values of

Accountability, Collaboration, Humility and Passion. Sales Supervisors partner with the management

team to understand daily/weekly/monthly store priorities. They participate and support merchandise

placement, shipment processing, and store recovery. Sales Supervisors participate in monitoring

associate compliance to all company policies and procedures and Loss Prevention Compliance. Sales

Supervisors assist in assigned projects and tasks that meet service levels including opening and closing

the store. Sales Supervisors must comply with all policies and procedures associated with the position,

including maintaining a 95% attendance record.

REPORTS TO: Sales Supervisors report to the Store Manager, Operations Managers, Merchandise

Managers, and Assistant Store Managers.

SALES/MERCHANDISE VOLUME RESPONSIBILITY: Varies (If applicable)

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Sales and Service: Models MOD behaviors, leading associate engagement. Drives results and KPI

performance. Conducts huddles, reinforces behaviors, provides coaching and recognition that

support Check, Check, Match and the values of the company. Responds to customer feedback with

a sense of urgency.

  • Associate and Team Development
  • Assists with the on-boarding of associates. Helps identify and

communicate associate goals and provides coaching and feedback to support the growth of the

Company. Provides feedback to Store Manager on associate performance. Seeks opportunities for

personal performance growth and demonstrates interest in building leadership skills. Assists with

daily associate relations issues and annual performance review process.

  • Cash Handling Counts money, makes change, verifies amounts, and issues receipts. Counts and

balances funds at the end of shift and turns receipts into the cash office. Reads and interprets price

ticket information, operates a calculator, and enters data via terminal keyboard.

  • Merchandising: Participates in and supports associates in merchandise placement, shipment

processing and store recovery. Participates in the communication and execution of presentation

standards that are consistent with brand image. Ensures store is compliant with established "Brand

Experience" standards.

  • Operations: Participates in monitoring of associates' compliance to all company policies and

procedures. Participates in inventory control functions including shipping and receiving, financial

processes and building maintenance. Participates with the management of processes related to

clearance merchandise, unit markdowns and damaged products. Identifies and responds to store

housekeeping issues. Participates in shrink awareness training.

Leads others in LP compliance. Uses

monthly LP Assessment to identify and correct operational deficiencies in the store. Opens and

closes store in rotation with management team. Participates with the upkeep of store, back

office/stockroom, and front register area. Ensures the proper administration of store policies and

procedures. Collaborates with the Store Manager with the maintenance requests and resolutions.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

The physical demands of the job include:

  • Moving and standing, including moving around the store to assist customers and associates. Must

have the ability to spend up to 100% of working time standing or moving around the register area,

the sales floor, and the stockroom.

  • Lifting, including the ability to lift up to 50 pounds on an occasional to frequent basis.

  • Physical activities include holding a scanning gun, keying and processing register transactions;

lifting and bagging merchandise, bending, stooping, pushing, pulling, climbing, stretching, and

reaching on a frequent basis.

  • Finger dexterity (ability to affix price tickets, to write information on pre-ticketed items and to

operate miscellaneous devices such as staplers, scanning devices and accessories, etc.). May

involve operating an electronic terminal to complete sales transactions and receive cash, checks,

credit cards, or other cash substitutes from customers.
