JOB SUMMARY: This position is responsible for ensuring the tactical activities of the inside sales team is executed according to standard. Coaches the inside sales team in customer accuracy and retention best practices. This role should have a thorough understanding of our inside sales processes to train and coach the sales team.

JOB DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

  • Responsible for staffing, training, and performance evaluations to develop and control sales strategy and execution.

  • Assigns sales territory to sales representatives, coaching them in their activities and results.

  • Responsible for their team's compliance with internal SOPs.

  • Coordinates inventory outages with team.

  • Actively closes performance gaps to ensure industry-leading customer satisfaction levels.

  • Responsible for the management of accounts receivables. This includes mitigating past due accounts and preventing bad debt write-offs.

  • Assists in tracking, measuring, and reporting team KPIs.

  • Analyzes and controls expenditures of division to conform to budgetary requirements.

  • Uses data and analytics to drive decision making.

  • Considers the market conditions of their territory, customer needs, company objectives, and their territory goals in their daily decision making and applies sound judgment in their relative decision making.

  • Leads Process Improvement Teams (PIT) cross functionally.

  • Responsible for representing the voice of the customer to their division and training employees on the customer's needs.

  • Responsible for ensuring that their team has the product and installation knowledge to support sales strategies.

  • Executes commission plan changes for their team.

  • Facilitates the training plan for TSMs and TSAs.

  • Reviews/coaches market analysis determining customer needs, pricing, and discount rates.

  • May be expected to cold call and prospect for new business to further develop market penetration.

  • Understands the market position of competition and CSMI value against those competitors.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.

  • Experience: Minimum of 3 years of management experience in an industrial/manufacturing environment.

  • Exposure: Project management, continuous improvement, and problem solving skills

  • Required skills: Microsoft Office.

SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, and evaluation of the inside sales team.

  • Carries out leadership and supervisory responsibilities in accordance with the company's policies and applicable laws.

  • Responsibilities include interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and providing solutions to problems.

JOB DUTIES AND ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: * Follows and enforces all safety procedures and uses all applicable personal protective gear. Ensures safety goals are achieved and safety performance continually improves. Observes and documents near miss/accident reports. * Develops team through constant On the Job Training and coaching. * Promotes regular and productive communication with off-site direct reports * Leads continuous improvement activities to improve performance in safety, RMA, on time performance, and site/company key performance indicators (KPIs) of the assigned area. * Utilizes visual methods in the daily operations within the assigned area, including but not limited to safety, RMA, on time performance to schedule, and site KPIs. * Promotes development of current and future team leaders in preparation for higher levels of leadership. * Conducts interviews for driver positions within the site. * Manages vacation schedule and reviews/approves weekly payroll. * Coordinates backhaul routes with internal and external customers. * Schedules inbound freight and RMA pickups. * Communicates delivery times with customers. * Maintains flexibility of work schedule as you will/could receive calls after hours. * Monitors team's performance and implements team and individual goals to improve overall team performance. * Understands and communicates location financials and team's impact on the financials. * Performs problem solving activities for delivery and production. Understands a structured process to solve problems with root cause analysis and validated corrective actions. Ability to conduct these activities and explain to his/her EO's the corrective actions and the expectations of them. * Understands cost control and what impacts the assigned area. This includes knowing cost impact of CTTI, routing, and driver utilization. This impact should be known and actively managed through the monitoring of KPI's. * Knowledgeable of company Safety/DOT/Regulation controls and ensuring the team is educated in these areas. Constantly reinforces this knowledge and prioritizes safety concerns. * Ensures RMA corrective actions are executed and required feedback is delivered to internal/external customers. * Trains and drives operational principles within the assigned area. These principles center around Continuous Improvement and tools such as 5-S, waste elimination, and RMA reduction. * Plans and balances driver utilization based on workload and schedules. MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: * Two-year degree and a minimum of two years of experience in a leadership role or equivalent combination of education and experience. * Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel. * Effective written and verbal skills. * Has a basic understanding of trucking operations including dispatch and hours of service. * Ability to work while being exposed to outside weather conditions. * Be detailed and customer oriented. * Ability to learn internal Enterprise Resource Planning system. * This is a safety sensitive position * Consistently exhibits and displays the company's values of "Own It.
