Sales Strategy & Ops Senior Manager

The Sales Strategy and Operations Senior Manager proactively drives sales programs and strategies across the sales region and identifies and implements significant improvements to sales productivity.

Sales Strategy

  • Participates in annual sales planning processes (e.g., segmentation and targeting, forecasting, sales quotas, territory design, account planning, etc.) for smaller sales territories

  • Contributes to the development of sales growth strategies with Sub-territories or smaller territories

  • Provide thought leadership to senior management to identify and prioritize key sales programs

Program Support/Implementation

  • Participates in implementing annual sales planning processes (e.g., segmentation and targeting, forecasting, sales quotas, territory design, account planning, etc.) for smaller sales territories

  • Provides support on cross-functional projects targeted at improving sales productivity

  • Analyzes data to evaluate program effectiveness and makes recommendations for improvements

Process Improvement

  • Executes cross-department or larger territory-sized process improvements

  • Identifies opportunities to improve/automate new and existing sales operations processes

  • Works independently with other team members and other internal departments (sales, marketing, finance, IT, customer support) on system integration/upgrade projects

  • Leads projects and implementation

  • Supports UAT for processes and systems at the regional level, and provides feedback and suggestions representing the region

Sales Operations Support

  • Supports sales organization in Sales Operations related matters

  • Investigates issue escalations

  • Identifies opportunities for Sales Operations process improvement

  • Provides system training to Sales Teams as required

  • Ensures the smooth running of established sales processes either within the local team or by managing offshore resources

Qualifications

  • 10+ years experience preferred

  • Bachelor's degree required

The Sales Strategy and Operations Senior Manager proactively drives sales programs and strategies across the region and identifies and implements significant improvements to sales productivity. Responsibilities * You work independently and directly with Sales Leaders and Equinix executives * Manages reporting and dashboard production weekly, monthly and quarterly basis for AMER Sales leadership * Designs and enables dashboards that are used by AMER, leveraging the Global reporting team for streamlining and automation. These may include: Pipeline reports, Rep performance reporting * You work with Sales Reps and Sales leadership to determine reporting needs * Oversees modeling and sensitivity analysis to evaluate options that are seen as industry best practices/ true innovation * Actively finds opportunities to improve/automate new and existing sales operations processes for Sales Region and will share best practices across Sales Regions * Manages cross-functional teams across both sales and sales operations * Viewed as a leader with vision / innovator to minimize waste and minimize variation * You represent and support the sales organization in Sales Operations related matters * Investigates complex issue escalations and provides timely response to sales teams * You sign off on process improvements and communicates to stakeholders Qualifications * 10+ years experience preferred * Bachelor's degree required * Ability to work under pressure and multi-task across projects * Excellent communication and presentation skills * Hands on self starter with plenty of drive and ambition * Excellent in MS Office and financial modeling Equinix is an equal opportunity employer.
