The Sales Specialist is our dynamic sales professional, who drives the sales of the Critical Care product line for the Upstate New York market through selling to existing customers, as well as new customers. This person will interface with a diverse set of customers within the hospital setting - Surgeons, Intensivists, Materials Management, Anesthesiologists, and Critical Care. They must be able to identify, develop and close new sales opportunities.
This is for the Upstate New York territory which includes: Rochester, Syracuse and Buffalo. The Sales Specialist must live in the territory.
Ability to travel locally
A minimum of three years of experience
Medical Device or similar selling experience
Good knowledge of the core strengths and limitations of assigned products and competitor products
Understands strategy, selling model, medical devices industry and selling environment of own territory
Develops knowledge of assigned customer organizations and their challenges, as well as those of prospective customers
Good understanding of hemodynamic monitoring as well as cardiovascular anatomy, pathology and physiology
Ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
Strict attention to detail
Understands customer needs and explains product features compared to competitor offerings
Builds productive internal and external relationships and ongoing interactions with relevant customer contacts
Utilizes influencing skills on buying decisions using tact and diplomacy
