Responsibilities / Tasks

This is a remote position which requires 60% - 70%, however the candidate applying must live in either: Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Florida, Tennessee, or North/South Carolina.

Responsibilities:

  • Handle warranty issues and claims, communicating with management via call reports and sales forecasts.

  • Act as the main liaison between GEA and assigned dealerships.

  • Support dealers with orders and ensure understanding of Policies and Procedures handbooks.

  • Collaborate with dealers on Premier Partners Program and review GEA bulletins monthly.

  • Report relevant information to GEA: product failures, new trends, necessary design changes, etc.

  • Keep GEA product information updated for self and dealers.

  • Evaluate market potential in designated territory and establish new dealerships as needed.

  • Participate in annual business planning sessions with designated GEA dealers.

  • Objectively evaluate dealer performance annually or as necessary, proposing replacements if criteria aren't met.

  • Mediate and resolve issues between GEA and dealers, following company policies.

  • Travel required: 60-70% travel to Great Lakes Region. Home office will be located in Romeoville, Illinois. Travel to home office will be required as needed.

  • Lead GEA dealer training in sales, installation, and technical aspects.

  • Conduct product/feature/competition sales training and organize face-to-face or online trainings as needed.

  • Recruit and support dealer attendance in training sessions.

  • Provide technical assistance at dealer locations and during on-farm calls.

  • Assist new dealers during field demonstrations.

Qualification/Education Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactory. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, Agriculture, or a related field (MBA preferred).

  • Proven national sales experience or business-to-business sales expertise.

  • Strong understanding of manure, dairy, or hog equipment, their applications, and the market dynamics.

  • Proven experience in managing successful sales teams on a national scale.

  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

  • Analytical mindset with the ability to make data-driven decisions.

  • Willingness to travel extensively and work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

  • Must have strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

  • Must be a team player.

  • Strong computer skills in Microsoft Office

  • The ability to read blue prints and understand floor plan designs.

  • Company vehicle and credit provided

  • The employee may be required to visit dairy farms and the work environment may be typical of conditions usually common to dairy farms.
