Job Summary

At First American, Sales Specialists are critical in building strong relationships with advisors by ensuring advisor satisfaction and generating sales. The ideal candidate has a life insurance background and is proactive, with sales expertise, including a book of business. Essential tasks include developing new relationships and maintaining connections with existing advisors and their teams to drive sales. Primary Responsibilities:

  • Oversee, grow, and build rapport with a portfolio of advisors.

  • Identify, approach, and recruit new advisors.

  • Actively seek new sales opportunities from new and existing advisors.

  • Collaborate with the sales and marketing team to identify and grow opportunities.

  • Meet regularly with advisors to discuss products, concepts, and value-added services.

  • Act as the lead point of contact for all matters specific to your advisors.

  • Ensure the timely and successful delivery of solutions.

  • Promptly answer advisor queries.

  • Resolving issues to preserve relationships.

  • Communicate with internal teams about maximizing the advisor experience.

  • Monitor sales and achieve agreed objectives.

  • Use and leverage the customer relationship management system.

  • Build and improve relationships with carrier and vendor partners.

Primary Skills & Requirements:

  • Knowledgeable in Life Insurance, Disability Insurance, Long Term Care, and Annuities.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with an aptitude for building strong client relationships.

  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to develop and maintain relationships.

  • Excellent listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.

  • Must be self-motivated and flexible with a can-do attitude.

  • Experience delivering client-focused solutions.

  • Attentive to detail and well-organized.

  • Background in life insurance sales and or customer service is a plus.

  • Strategic thinker and ability to analyze and solve problems quickly.

  • Ability to work well with others as part of a team.
