Position DescriptionServes as the store expert in the Flooring department by providing detailed product information to both customers and peers, promoting and recommending products, plans, or installation services that match customer needs, informing customers on pricing, options or status on pending orders. Includes generating leads, conducting sales activities, building relationships with customers, keeping shelves stocked and correctly displayed, and coordinating successful completion of projects and orders. This includes performing order management duties such as entering new orders for customers, reaching out to vendors on special orders, tracking and fulfilling orders, and resolving issues

Job RequirementsRequires morning, afternoon, and evening availability any day of the week. Physical ability to move large, bulky and/or heavy merchandise. Physical ability to perform tasks that may require prolonged standing, sitting, and other activities necessary to perform job duties.Minimum QualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent.1 year external experience in customer facing sales OR 6 months Lowe's retail experience.Preferred Qualifications1 year experience entering and submitting customer sales orders, including Special Order.2 years experience identifying and selling products based upon customer needs or plans.2 years experience in providing customer service including identifying and resolving customer complaints, greeting customers, answering phones, building relationships with customers, and thanking customers for their business.2 years experience following up on outstanding or incomplete customer orders, sales, or installs.1 year experience promoting product related services and plans such as installation, delivery, credit financing, or extended protection plans.2 years experience in a sales environment with required sales goals or metrics.1 year employment with Lowe's as a Sales Specialist.2 years experience in a trade directly related to Flooring OR 2 years experience selling flooring.

Responsibilities The Sales Specialist is a licensed individual (Property & Casualty). Not licensed, that is ok! Allstate pays for your training and license. In this role you would be responsible for handling inbound sales and some customer service calls to facilitate the growth of Allstate's book of business by improving the customer experience, increasing customer retention, and meeting sales performance goals. Selling is the primary function of this position but delivering effortless customer experience is a critical component. * Deliver exceptional customer experience in all interactions with the customer * Provides an exceptional sales experience to prospects through inbound calls in order to meet sales targets and performance goals * Sells new business policies for Auto, Property Personal Lines, and selected specialty lines (motorcycle, renters, boat, PUPs, etc.) * Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of specific company products and services in order to portray confidence and credibility to customers while matching customer needs to Allstate products and service * Proactively identify and act on cross-selling opportunities in order to increase household penetration and improve customer retention, applying effective selling and influencing techniques * Ability to interact with multiple on-line systems while speaking with customers is required * Demonstrate the ability to handle situations which may require adaptation of response according to customer response. Ability to appropriately handle inbound customer inquiries and calls and leverage the opportunity to cross-sell to enhance customer retention probability * Requires extensive knowledge of the organization, products and services and may require advance problem solving and sophisticated sales techniques * Ability to assess customer needs and suggest and promote alternative products or services * Increase customer retention by speaking with as many customers as possible while improving the customer experience * Requires ability to navigate a computerized data entry system and respond to a predicative dialer system * Seek referrals for potential customers and prospects through conversations with Allstate's existing customer base * Develop subject matter expertise and remain current on new marketing campaigns * Meet monthly goals and standards that align with Company growth strategies Prospect for new business during routine customer calls Compensation * Base Salary: $31,200/yr ($15/hr) PLUS 10% shift differential for 2nd shift * Generous uncapped monthly bonuses available after training, based on sales performance. * Potential earnings after training : between $31,200 - $46,200* annually (including base salary, shift pay, average annual bonus for 2017*) Schedule Training start day is 5/10/2019 Training Schedule 10 am to 6:45 pm Monday - Friday Transition 2:00 pm - 10:30 pm Monday, Tuesday & Friday 10 am - 6:30 pm Saturday & Saturday Days off: Wednesday & Thursday Production Schedule TBD with shift bid Allstate's Customer Contact Centers will provide service 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. As a result, it is critical that all our team members can commit to a flexible work schedule that includes weekends and holidays.
