The Sales Solutions Specialist, Fresh, is responsible for the execution of sales solutions, assessing store for sales growth opportunities, and maintaining store partnerships. The Sales Solutions Specialist will maximize sales through innovative product placement and presentation and responsible for executing Store Solutions activities and completion of all store sets. Develop and foster collaborative relationship with customers and be their category expert
Execute and sell up against the Division merchandising plans
Focus against selling new items and core voids to increase sales and profitability
Conduct store sales surveys prior to any new store, reset or re-merchandising
Be present for resets and store preparations for New Store and Store Re-Grand Openings
Responsible for innovation and implementing plan-o-grams, educational aids, and merchandising techniques to drive customer traffic and sales revenue through visual presentation
Responsible for all aspects of presentation, successful rollouts of new merchandise and promotional initiatives, including communication and execution with store
Effectively communicate with store personnel to include Store Director, Deli Managers, Department Managers, and Inventory Control Clerks
Creative and Artistic capabilities selling against cross merchandising opportunities
Manage financials and minimize spoils liabilities with sku optimization, checking rotation, and oversee store inventory
Knowledge of product/categories, and merchandising techniques for Deli Cheese
Minimum Requirements, Qualifications, Additional Skills, Aptitude
High school diploma/GED required (Associate degree preferred).
Outstanding communication (both verbal and written) and relationship management skills with people at all organizational levels.
Ability to prioritize workload to have the most significant impact on customer satisfaction.
Proficient in using Excel, PowerPoint, and other similar tools
Prior experience in food industry with emphasis against Deli Cheese and Fresh offerings.
Demonstrated ability to effectively identify long-term issues, develop and implement strategies to address those issues, and linking shorter-term activities to these strategies.
Demonstrated proficiency in attention to accuracy and detail.
Demonstrates the competencies of: financial acumen, ability to collaborate, courage, sense of urgency, and effectively managing complexity
Ability and willingness to work flexible hours, including some weekends
Ability and willingness to travel 60% of the time by car, and stay overnight to support the requirements of the position.
