Works directly with the assigned Founders Brewing Company Territory Market Manager, wholesaler (s), and their sales staff to promote sales, the Founders brand and achieve target distribution and volume goals. To establish and maintain a professional sales relationship with key retailers and distributors.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Includes the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Supports Founders Brewing Company Core Values, Purpose, and Philosophies.

  • Maintains constant communication and positive relationships with the Market Manager, Distributor sales force, and key retailers

  • Develops quarterly target lists built from goals and objectives.

  • Must be able to analyze and develop sales opportunity from VIP software or other company provided sales software.

  • Conducts ongoing brand training with retailors, distributor partners, and consumers.

  • Assists at all special events and festivals in the territory.

  • Performs administrative tasks as they are assigned (expense reports, monthly work calendar, establish distribution targets, evaluate discount programs, conduct price surveys).

  • Maintains professional image and demeanor at all times.

  • Able to maintain and report an expense budget within the given parameters.

  • Ability to work both independently and within a team environment.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

  • Live in the market for which Sales Representative is responsible for.

  • Self-starter/ Self-motivated

  • Reliable car and a valid drivers license

  • Ability to work flexible schedule; ability to work nights and week-ends.

  • Excellent organizational, planning, and sales skills

  • Two years minimum experience working in the three tier distribution system either with a beer wholesaler or beer supplier.

  • Strong knowledge of craft beer, the industry, and its retail consumers.

  • Proficient in Microsoft office Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook.

  • Excellent oral, analytical, written, and communication skills

  • Dynamic public specking and presentation skills

  • Travel is required

Education and/or Experience

Bachelor's degree (B. A.) from four-year College or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.

Work Environment

  • Work will be done in a home office, in a vehicle, or in the field.

  • Consistent visits to bars, restaurants, and retail accounts will be required.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: * The Sales Associate will be primarily responsible for representing Stryker as a leader in our industry and the marketplace by promoting our products to a sophisticated audience comprised of surgeons and healthcare professionals. * This will be achieved by increasing sales through assisting the sales teams and building own accounts by means of working with existing customers as well as identify new customers in order to grow their territory. The candidate will be responsible for communicating with current and new customer accounts regarding a variety of topics including product updates, changes to product portfolio and educational programs. * Promotes and sells a portfolio of technical and/or nontechnical products and/or services and solutions directly to current and new end customers. * Informs customers of new product/service introductions and prices. * Works with a sales rep to ensure customer service standards are high and continually improving. * Assists the sales rep in determining the necessary resources needed for our customers to achieve sales objectives. * Fosters a culture and environment that makes their region a destination for top performers. * Accurately forecasts sales trends and commitments. * Gain knowledge of the sales business, and territory through on the job training, product and anatomy manuals, and phases of training * Manages a profitable, cost-conscious business, including DII, inventory, DSO, T&E, pricing, and contracts. * Executes territory allocation, develops market-based quotas, participates in the design of motivating compensation plans and manages to them. * Conducts win/loss analyses to understand key drivers and communicates these concisely and regularly to product, marketing and executive management. EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: * 2-5 years in an outside sales position * Interest in being in the operating room * Capacity to deal with competing priorities and potential to be adaptable as days change quickly. * Demonstrated ability in building and maintaining relationships in the sales capacity. * Must be comfortable in emergency and operating room environments. * Prepared to spend up to 90% of time in the field with customers and sales professionals (including some weekends, and some overnight travel). * Knowledge of principles and methods for showing, promoting, and selling products or services * Comfortability with adapting to new technology and business advancements. * Bachelor's degree required * Would need personal car to transport product inventory and travel to support customers. * Learns from set-backs and develops tactics and strategies to minimize recurrence. * "Smart, hardworking, and gets along well with others."
