Essential Functions Ensure the successful development ofprofitable sales growth with both existing and new accounts through frequent,consistent, personal contact with clientele, focusing strongly on the expansioninto targeted geographic markets and/or industries. Must know, understand, demonstrateand routinely utilize a formal sales process in the performance of this job. RepresentNewpark with a combination of integrity and industry knowledge at meetings,industry functions and trade shows, etc. Develop anannual sales plan in support of organizational sales strategy and objectives. Ensureannual budgeted sales and associated monthly sales activity goals areconsistently met. Drive allprospecting activities and lead generation initiatives in the process ofdeveloping new customers. Responsiblefor documenting sales activity and progress on a weekly basis utilizing oursales management reporting process. Ensureeffective communication with NMIS operations on all upcoming and currentprojects to ensure customer satisfaction while consistently monitoring productavailability. Preparemarket and activity forecasts to better evaluate potential sales and drive futuresales activity. Learn andunderstand customer's business in order to utilize a technical approach todemonstrate how our product relates and impacts in a positive way customer'sentire process. Provide measurable datato support the value proposition. Provideinformation to technical team regarding competitor products to assist inmaintaining our competitive stance in the market. Continuallyseek business information and referrals from current customers and prospectsfor potential growth opportunities for all Newpark business units. Researchand recommend sales strategies to continuously improve sales margins based uponmarket research and competitor analyses. Workclosely with the credit and legal departments in assisting with collections,new customer qualifications and master service agreements (MSA). Keepoverall expenses to minimum by using good judgment and making decisions onspending according to the value it will bring to the success of the company. Assist informulating standard/routine proposals in conjunction with team members andvarious functional groups. Participatein weekly sales conference calls to update the Sales/Operations team onupcoming activities and to recognize the opportunities in which collaborationmay be beneficial.Education & Experience RequirementsHigh School Diploma or educational equivalent. Entry level. Understanding of fundamental concepts of product and/or services. Excellent communication skills. Good judgment and team skills. Customer Service experience preferred.Position SummaryRequires direct supervision. Provides assistance to the sales work group in order to achieve assigned objectives. Assists in coordinating entities involved in the "inquiry to order" cycle phase completion. Communicates with others in the salesforce. Handles incoming customer calls for existing or new customers.
