Right now we're looking for a Safety Account Specialist to join our growing team. The Safety Account Specialist manages the corporate safety glasses' accounts including establishing the accounts, billing and collections and customer service issues.
What would you do? The Specifics
Establishes new customer accounts by identifying and contacting leads; manages innate safety sales growth that occurs with expanding retail locations into new markets.
Sources and contacts leads to increase safety sales opportunities in existing markets.
Develops a streamlined Safety Sales program; works with IT department to assess current processes and incorporates changes to ensure ongoing effectiveness.
Creates processes and user guides for corporate associates to use while setting up and maintaining Corporate Safety Sales accounts.
Develops and promotes a "Grow your Safety Sales" training program; to include training calls with store and district managers to assist them with identifying safety accounts within their area.
Creates promotional materials and reports and provides them to the District Managers to assist with monitoring safety sales programs within their districts.
Accurately enters all safety account programs into several systems including Point of Sale system for all brands.
Travels and attends and at times organizes trade shows and follows up on all potential leads.
Updates the safety glasses' manual in the stores and provides the manuals to all new retail locations.
Completes invoices and billings of safety glasses accounts, posts payments, collects on outstanding accounts and is the point of contact for customer service.
Proposes ideas of motivating/training stores on increasing leads and sales growth in safety eyewear.
Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience is required.
2+ years in Sales or Account Management.
Customer service experience required.
Knowledge of Accounts Payable and/or Accounts Receivable.
Experience with Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Access.
Knowledge of a Point of Sale System (POS) and/or JDA (Supply Chain Software) preferred.
Retail experience is a plus.
Approaches all encounters with customers and co-workers in an attentive, friendly, courteous, and service oriented manner.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Independent worker and analytical thinker with ability to conduct research, data analysis and resolve complex problems quickly.
Highly organized with strong follow up skills and the ability to multi-task.
Takes initiative and ownership for assigned tasks.
